Devs, are there any twitch-based elements to combat (manual aiming, manual blocking or manual evasion), or is it all auto-aim and hotbars? (The latter can be very satisfying when done with tactical depth, but I almost always prefer the former.)
Thanks! As I mentioned above, were still ironing out the kinks from our Unity 4 upgrade. But release isnt far off.
Good question, Ayjona. Its a bit of both really. We had to strike a good balance between real-time combat and the tactical battle engine rules that are under the hood (that depend on skills and work like dice rolls). But Id say combat is much more like the Witcher or Skyrim than say Dragon Age. Attacking and blocking are manually performed by the player, but evasion is a skill so its automatic. Aiming factors in the direction youre attacking to auto-select a target for you, but you can also manually select a target instead. What you see in the trailer with the icons in the Action bar at the bottom are special attacks or spells, which vary in power depending on your skill levels.
This is music to my ears!! I like this balance of real-time combat and this tactical battle engine! Keep it up dev! I'm still looking forward to this game and I'm very excited!! My guess is an early-mid December release.
Yes. Were very, very close to submitting. When exactly it comes out will depend on how fast Apple takes to approve it.
There isnt a hunger system in the game. We would use that mechanic if it made more sense in the overall concept and design, like a survival RPG. As for graphics options, we definitely have some for you, as well as many other customizable options for other aspects of the game.
You betcha! Youll need a minimum of iOS 5.0, which I see from your signature that you have. Just be prepared that the visuals from an iPod touch 3 wont be as good as an iPod touch 5 (the difference in CPU/GPU power and RAM is too significant).
Thank you very much for supporting iOS 5.x, and also, I am getting even more excited about this game!! Can we expect a submission to Apple before or after Santa Claus makes his runs? Either way, I'm completely patient; game's gotta be done right and I am confident in you.
