I meant compared to a game like Aralon or Rage, the graphics don't look as "wow." But, overall, I think the graphics look great. They're very clean and professional.
Well they didn't promise it'd be out this year, it was just an estimate. It wouldn't surprise me if it's pushed back into early 2011. We haven't had any news in a while and they probably won't want to compete with Infinity Blade, Aralon and Gameloft's games. In fact I hope it's released next year because I'll probably be too busy playing Aralon this Christmas.
I wonder this myself (though I don't see it looking better or worse). Ossian has actual RPG experience going into this product, though, which might make a world of difference. Still, I withhold final judgment until both games are out.
This wasn't neccessary. Not from a fellow dev. You just dropped on my sympathy scale. The screens of this game are looking very good!
I'm just laughing because I find it funny if they actually do use Unity. It surprises me. Its actually cool - and maybe we should trade some secrets.
Ok, if that was the point, my excuses. I just remembered that some devs tend to laugh about engines like Gamesalad or Unity and don't take them as serious.
Well I'm not going to laugh about Unity - because I use it! I'm just very surprised that they would, given their background. I thought they'd have some proprietary engine that took them two years to build (like another game I know that isn't out yet - ahem - Race after 1977!) The game actually looks quite good, especially the elephant and the worm enemy.
