Dialogue with the quality of games like Morrowind would be incredible the dialogue in Oblivion was acceptable, but not nearly as good as in morrowind. An understandable side-effect when changing from pure text to voice acting.
I think you're remembering Morrowind with the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia. If the Morrowind dialogue was that great, things like the LGNPC project wouldn't have been necessary.
Well, I played Morrowind for the first time in 2010. I really enjoyed the dialogue. Only problem was that at times it was a bit hard to find quest locations.
With All these improvements and things you keep adding to the game im wondering if it'll still run on a 3Gs? It would kill me if not.
3G is supported. This is the minimum spec required to run the game. From Alan's post on the Ossian forums: We unfortunately had to cut the 2G support for the game not long ago. We started working on the game right at the start of 2010, at a time when the 2G had been out for a year and the 3G had just come out in the fall. But it eventually became very clear that we were blowing the low memory limitation of the 2G device, as well as the vertex limits for area geometry. The alternative would have been to drastically reduce (i.e., worsen) the games visuals for all iDevice generations, which made little sense. The only clear choice for us was to have the iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS as the min spec. Im sorry to any 2G users out there we really tried. But Apples iDevice cycles were quickly passing us by as the project has continued on (the 5G will be out in a couple of months!), so having to keep pace with that is an issue we cant ignore.
Hooray! I must say that I am very much looking forward to this game, so keep up the good work! (though some new screenshots would be nice )
Specs Can change over time, As Alan allso Said in the same post "We unfortunately had to cut the 2G support for the game not long ago" As the next gen iPhone is in the horrizon, 3G and 3Gs support might be hanging in a thin thred!
Just read the First page again ajour game features, it realy sounds to good to be true! Any idea about houres of gameplay??
We can't give an accurate estimate at this stage. Once the game is in the hands of beta testers, we'll have a better idea. We know our rough target length, but that often doesn't have much bearing on how long a game eventually is. For example, our last game, Mysteries of Westgate, was supposed to be 8-10 hours long but ended up being 15-25 hours for many players.
Lol I was just about to ask that haha. But seriously, if you guys are looking for some good beta testers, there's really no better place to look than TA.
I outrank both of you. Been here longer and have more beta testing experience. Also started the BTA (Beta Testers Alliance). So chew on THAT!
Yes, and that was all promised over 9 months ago! Imagine what a beast this game is today. Jeez crex, we all know you're the beta testing king in these parts, modesty is a thing of virtue, ya know. Or however the saying goes.
Hoping for more then 8-10 hours of gameplay! But 15-25 hours of sounds slot netter to me im a experienced RPG player, basicly no other genre in my game collection (im a sucker for a good story) and my experience tell's me that a good story in a game needs more then 10 hours. Thats my opinion anyways. Can you interact with your party members if you have any? And can you define you character in that way like you could in neverwinter nights? Sorry, should not ask so much, but I really am looking forward to this game and my expectations to this game is off the scale for this one. Guessing I'm hoping for an actual consol game. Is that to much?
