I thought that apps weren't allowed to collect udids or whatever? I love the look of this one. Shame about the lack of an international release. The short amount of levels would have driven me mad in such a nice looking game
Probably something like when Wawa Land put BuzzDoes in their app that collected your info, contacts and such. But yeah, I don't remember BuzzDoes grabbing your UDID and in the case of Wawa Land, it was optional. Strange, anyone have it installed that can comment if you can turn it off? (not that it matters to me, I'm not paying a penny for an app that's going to take my identity)
UDID collection will no longer be permitted for new apps or any app updates beginning on May 1. That would make me wary of purchasing an app which currently collects UDID's that go on sale; there is an increased chance that they will be abandoned.
Wow, this game is really good. Really good hdmi tv game cause of the graphics and easy controls. Has a nice theme. Wowzers, kinda a must get. Forget about the udid stuff, this is a great game. Very highly recommended!
About the UDID... Have you guys ever read the EA or even Chillingo license agreements that you agree to by downloading their games?
When did 'vania gent added to make "Metroidvania"? Yes, I've heard the term before, I'm just curious...was it Symphony of the Night (which was more Metroidvaniaish then Any Meteoid at the time of its release).
Yeah, there's nothing illegal about it, and many games collect all kinds of stuff about the players. They just don't tell you about it in the Appstore description. I don't like it, but that's the way it is now. It is good to know that Apple will be a bit more strict about it.
That's what I'm saying - many apps already do this, these guys are just a lot more transparent about it.
