This is a man that killed thousands of innocent American blood on an unprovoked attack on American soil, attacked the USS coil and killed 17, attacked multiple embassies and was in the top ten of FBI Most Wanted. This man also declared he would never stop killing Americans and was president of a terrorist group that's main goal is to kill. We've been searching for him for 10 years. We celebrate not because of the loss of one man's life, not because we love violence or not even because one of the world's most evil person was killed. We celebrate because we brought justice to the tens of thousands of people negatively affected by 9-11, and the thousands of people who lost their life. btw, dumbass1000, since when has American tried to expand and conquer the world? Also, you said "Those who do not learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them." Two things. 1). How is the Roman Empire collapsing America's mistake? and 2). How can anyone learn from the mistake of a civilization collapsing? There wouldn't be any people to learn from their mistakes. Now, I hate getting petty, and I apologize. I think what you meant was "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it" If you love Egypt so much, go live there. We could use the food, water and oil your using. Because video games are always correct. Bush didn't turn anyone into anything. You decided who you became, no one else can decide who you are. You can't blame Bush for how people are, if they are even that way. I think most Americans agree with this statement, There has never been a good war or a bad peace. And we aren't even talking about revenge here, which is what the eye for an eye quote refers too, we are talking about justice. And again, what the hell does Bush have to do with any of this? Terror is an ideal but Al-Queada isn't. (Sorry for misspelling)

Really? You try and avoid doing the things that brought about this civilizations downfall. I thought that was self explanatory. Also, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. His differs from yours and that is just fine, no reason to tell him to leave the country. Last note, if America was serious about killing Bin Laden they should have killed him or arrested him when he went into an American hospital in Dubai to get dialysis. The CIA was there, they could have easily killed or arrested him before 9/11 ever happened. We could have prevented it. It would also have been in Americas best intrest to not teach terrorists how to sneak box cutters onto flights, not to mention the 6 billion dollars we gave Al-Qaeda. We funded them, we trained them, we did this to ourselves. And freedog, I am a liberal and I support the ownership of firearms. Not all liberals are going to take your guns away.
You'd have to imagine that the U.S. operatives who conducted the raid were wearing a live cam. I wonder if the government will release it someday for everyone to see.
I am glad it is done. Cheers. Message from a Yahoo! user: --I bet Bin Laden regrets allowing his iPhone app to "use his current location"--
On a serious note, I can't believe youtube had the president's speech first. Some of the news sites only put them up right now.
"I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure." --Mark Twain Pretty much sums it up for me.
This was exactly what I was thinking. Even though their leader is gone, Terrorism isn't. I'm no politician, so I don't know what the chances of an attack on the US because of this are, but I just hope it doesn't happen. And as I've been telling some of the people I know, although I do think this is a victory for America, I don't think death should ever be celebrated. It's just so unfortunate that lives have to be given due to juvenile actions. I mean seriously, what ever happened to talking things out? I'm tired of these useless wars that don't accomplish anything. That being said, even though I don't support the war, I shall still support the troops, because they're very, very courageous.
You never know. Some of those guys aren't too far off from having nuclear bombs and stuff. Not so much individual terrorists, but countries like Iran who have crazy governments that would like to see the U.S. go down. I doubt that most of those alquaida guys are as loyal to bin laden as the media makes it sound, so I'm not really worried about a big attack just because of him being killed. The U.S. is on alert just in case.
Yes, terror will still continue without Osama Bin Laden, but a surgically precise blow WAS struck against a dangerous organization that had most of its power from its cult like reverance of their darkly charismatic leader. Not to mention the importance of morale after the last 10 murky years. So yes, while the work obviously doesn't stop here, it's a good thing to celebrate the death of the figurehead of modern terrorism.
war with terroism is basically over because(not sure) most of the guys in charge won't have the money to pay for them and the US will probably seize his abnk accounts..
I'm totally with dumaz1000 on this one. Terrorism is never over. Osama Bin Laden may be dead, but so is Jesus, so is Elvis, yet their messages and legacies live on in the lives of millions. I'm not sure what any of this has to do with freedog wanting to play cowboy, but it made me laugh. You crazy kids. On a lighter note: Bin Laden probably shouldn't have given PSN his full name and address
