      Well it will be out tomorrow, not today. And I think people have said it is released PST. Just wait it out.

      I saw someone say earlier that since they bought 2.0 they get 3.0 for free? Stupid apple made me think I was getting ahead of the game when i bought a 2nd gen and thought i wouldn't have to pay for software update. So i guess you pay ten bucks and then you get updates for life

      Actually does anyone remember what time was 2.0 (or whichever version was the big release) released?

      I hate to think that we wait till the wee hours only to get it in the afternoon or something :(

      i remember one upgrade not being available till around 8 or 9 in the morning.

      Oh wait... I just read on macrumors (near the bottom of the post) that in Australia, New Zealand, and East Asian countries, 3.0 is only coming out on the 18th (~GMT +8). This is true for at least the 3.0 page for Singapore.

      So Im guessing 3.0 wont be released for at least another hmmm... 11 hours and 45 minutes? :(

      no i dont think so

      i tried google street view on my touch and it looks really nice and clear in landscape mode

      Pretty sure both 2.0 and 3.0 for iPod are supposed to be paid.
      iPod 2G always came with 2.0 firmware installed anyhow.

      Anyone notice that your apps are now auto-alphabetized each time you add a new one and they automatically start on page 2?
