    BRAND NEW Orions Campaign Mode!

If you have a Twitter account, go there now. If you do not have a Twitter account, open one.

Type "@Chillingo" then type something like "Re Orions 2: WHEN????!" or something really, really clever.

I figure if 500 of us do this today, they will get the message and put this on the fastest track they are capable of.

    Ba-doom-KISH!

Thank you; you've been a great audience! I'm here through Thursday. Don't forget to tip your waitress.

    A month?

This game was slated for November 2010 :D

Yeah yeah featuring multiplayer made it take longer but 1) it should've had MP RIGHT OFF THE BAT ANYWAY, it should have never been an afterthought 2) it seriously can't take 5 months to implement multiplayer.

I've been playing a lot of Orions 1 lately in anticipation. And I gotta say...I think the new patch is crap.

I have noticed several brand new bugs in this so-called 'update' and if there are any improvements or fixes for previous bugs included, I haven't found them yet.

Seriously, what did that update do other than bug things up?

I could get over the fact that the (really annoying) campaign card buy bug didn't get fixed (tho...really?!?!), but to introduce new bugs? That's not something I can wrap my head around.

Does anybody know: can I just replace the Orions.ipa file with the one I removed from the folder (thankfully) prior to updating?

Yes replacing an old update works fine. If you open it up with itunes there should be a message coming up asking you if you want to replace the current version.

Disagree. GC and the like (i.e., Open Fient) are not perfect. It can be very difficult to negotiate your way through. Codito has had problems so severe with Ra that they are going to put the game on their on server. I imagine Crystal is holding things up for O2. Chillingo seems to be staking a lot on it.

since when is chillingo interested in putting out quality stuff? for every good polished game you get like 10 buggy, wierd releases..

the latest update to orions introduced at least one (flicker) more bug, instead of fixing anything (yeah i know they wrote they fixed "something")

so i highly doubt its about stuff related to ..

at the end crystal is junk compared to open feint and gc.. would be better for them to drop it instead of forcefully implementing this shoddy pice of software into their published games..

I think there is at least one thing that is fixed? Before when I played duel my username gets wiped out every time I quit the app, but now it saves it.

I can't be the only one that finds it a bit distasteful that you hang around the threads of competitors subtly promoting your product while dismissing theirs. But, maybe I am.

Definitely not, I hate Shadow Era as it is currently. Kyle Poole's time is better spent polishing up his own sad game.

Wow, since when does nearly everyone on TA has lost his humour?

In earlier times, even the devs here were joking around, teasing other devs and it was really big fun. Just ask Josh, Paul, Kyle, Andrew, Chris and all the other devs.

You guys should pull the sticks out of your a$$es.

well at least shadow era is a released product..

it may be not what people expected but at least its a product being worked on by a developer wo involves himself with the community..

since ta is the biggest ios community i know of you might think a few of thoose "nose up" devs whould start posting here at least once in a while and responsing to a independant community (thats not gathered on their forum if they have one)

one could imagine chillingo earning millions after millions of dollars that they could at least hire some community manager to get "face to face" with their customers..

Despite its faults (and there are quite a few), at least Shadow Era is out there with a developer who listens to paying customers and is very active in the forums. I can't say the same for many other developers. Customer support counts for a lot, especially if those customers have paid money for your product.

Haven't played shadow era (couldn't get into it) but I've been waiting FOREVER for fast-app switching for BfW and nothing.

Ive been burned by apps not having this feature lately too I'm so glad Orions 2 has it :)

No offense meant at all, but I think some people are missing the point. I am not saying Kyle or his product are bad. I am just saying that his interactions in the threads of competitors comes off as somewhat unprofessional, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This thread should stay focused on Orions 2.

And as I said: just a little while ago, this was quite normal by devs.
But the iOS community has lost its sense of humour.
Kyle was neither insulting nor anything else.

I think, the fact that pisses of most people is that we all know: Kyle is right.
