Just be careful and read the forum rules.
The rules state clearly that you can get an infraction or even get banned for making false announcements, even if they were meant to be fun.

I am 95% sure they will all be available.

As a side question (and because I want to post on page 69), why do they want Chillingo to publish their game? Untill now I've seen absolutely no trace of advertising from Chillingo, the game isn't even mentioned on their site. The trailer might have been made with Chillingo's help, but I'm not certain of that neither.

So, besides making us waste 1.5 seconds of our lives whenever we launch the game starring at Chillingo's emblem, what do the devs get from working with them?

All cards are accessible in MP, but each "deck" is limited.

In Duel mode, you will have a random deck with 36 different cards, 6 cards from each element (no limit on how many copies as you can cast).

Drafts are limited to 24 different cards, 4 cards from each element (no limit on how many copies you can cast).

Draft is less because you are selecting from a screen showing 10 cards. Each player picks 4 in alternating picks and the last two are unchosen.

If Constructed ever goes live MP, you will be able to have up to 8 cards from a specific element in a 24 card deck.

    ----------------

Meanwhile, many of us are hoping that even O2 will be expanded, since there are more cards from O1 that could be included and who knows, new ones?

I am positive the answer is marketing/advertising, despite the paucity of same to date. It's one thing to program a great game. It's quite another to sell it in an app store where there are 17 trillion apps.

The trailer was almost certainly theirs. Crystal belongs to Chillingo, so you get that audience base by allowing Chillingo to publish your game (games are promoted within Crystal). As well, I think (not sure) GC costs the publisher a bit of change and that would be borne by Chillingo. As for TouchArcade and others like it, Chillingo stands a MUCH better chance of receiving coverage for its game than a small developer.

Why doesn't it surprise me that O2 is months behind schedule? Assuming it ever sees the light of day, I won't be getting it. Given the developer's past record of complete lack of updates for Orions, I simply do not trust them anymore. Good luck to those of you who decide to give them your money when it eventually comes out; I hope your investment is rewarded by timely updates and a supportive developer. I hope the game sells enough copies to keep them happy or we will likely see history repeat itself.

Sorry if this sounds overly cynical, but I've been stung a few times in the past with developers who simply can't be bothered to support paying customers. As far as I'm concerned, dropping Orions 1 like that did them no favours. Until they prove me wrong, I think MoreGames have damaged their reputation. And I really do hope I am proved wrong because Orions was good and O2 looks even better.

That's just it, there is absolutely ZERO trace of any mention of Orions (1 or 2) anywhere on Chillingo's web site. It's like as far as they are concerned the games do not exist. That is NOT marketing, that's BURYING.

So the poor devs have to share a huge slice of their profits with Chillingo AND get absolutely no support or marketing from Chillingo? Is it just me, or does it seem like this game is just cursed on the iOS platform? Good grief!

As I've explained earlier, the game would have been out long ago if it had not been for the clamor to implement MP. Hence the delay. To the developer's credit, he listened to the audience, not ignored them.

If you want to give up the opportunity to play the game, that is entirely your prerogative. For me, in its present version, it will be worth every penny and I am buying 4 copies although I already have a working beta on my iPhone.

If there are updates, fantastic. Even if there aren't, I'll be quite happy playing the O2 version I have now for years to come.

On the other hand, Orions was released as a fairly deep game, with high replay ability, a big content and no game breaking bug. Nowadays, I'm not sure 10% of released games can say as much. Even without the add ons, I've probably spent around 30 hours on Orions which I really cannot say for a lot of iOS games that interest me for an average of 20 mm.

I think the website is actually targeted to raise developer awareness, not the public. I could be wrong.

Having re-read my previous post, I think it may have sounded more harsh than I intended. I won't be writing off the developers completely; I just won't be buying O2 immediately. I intend to watch from a distance for a while and see what the general feeling is among customers. (I rarely buy games immediately on release, anyway). To their credit, the developer does have a presence on these forums so I am hopeful of decent support. And if amn624 says O2 is good (and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about) then I am optimistic.

I'm about 50/50 about waiting. If compelled, I buy. If not, I am happy to wait, so I think your stance is reasonable.

Caveat: my opinion is only my opinion but I think O2 is the cat's meow. It is so many times better than O:LoW that there cannot be a fair comparison. Unfortunately, the past being what it was, I know some will find things to complain about.

Such as? Disconnect issues, which are the nature of the best and affect Shadow Era as well. Also, some will wonder why certain effects occur ("why did my Lava Spider just die?!") but that's only because they do not know and understand all the effects. The game is also about totally learning what impacts what. Meneisyss schooled me on that quite often.

Not to spoil anyone's sadistic sense of enjoyment but tomorrow is April 1st so don't be fooled by any "It's on the App store" posts without calmly checking the App store and fully expecting to see nothing there.... :D

Wow imoregames misses ANOTHER Orions 2 deadline.

This is just pathetic, an please dont use the "we asked for multiplayer so they took longer"

The trailer they released was after they started working on multiplayer, how can a company be so inconsistent.

App store still shows nothing : (

If the game has been submitted to Chillingo, then it's mainly their fault that it didn't make the expected release date, or else Apple is taking a long time to approve it. It's no longer in the dev's hands. While I'm as impatient as you are to get the game it puzzles me when people say they would have been enthusiastic to get the game yesterday but even one day later than expected is total BS and they will now dedicate their lives to hating the developers. Shouldn't there at least be a slightly more gradual transition there?

I'm still psyched to get the game. I probably play at least one game of Orions nearly every day and the prospect of a huge upgrade is exciting to me. And when I'm still playing it a year from now I probably won't even remember that it came out three days late, or five, or whatever.

    I wholeheartedly second the motion.

I hope that Chillingo can get Apple's approval faster than would otherwise occur but the process is mysterious. Some apps get approved within 48 hours, some need up to three weeks? Strange.

In any event, please bear in mind Meneissyys & I did not get the final beta build until March 10th, which left precious little time to get all the work done - including Chillingo's approval - by the end of the month. When the trailer with the March date was made, it may have been back in January for all we know, when March appeared as a likely release date. Plans can never be carved in stone - they are always estimates and should be treated as such.

Since I have my own game (more about that another time) in the works hopefully for an October release, I am quite apprehensive about what seems to be almost a lynch mentality from some on the forums. As you point out, "a slightly more gradual transition" to heightened frustration would be appropriate.

It's April 1st. I'm also waiting. The world has not ended. Whether it goes live tomorrow or next week is not going to change anything. I'll be online waiting to play you.
