We're working on it. At the moment, on both games we have in active development my part is done. Developers and artists have the ball now. Sure, I'm still involved day-to-day in making sure game logic is implemented correctly and all the variables that have to be considered are not overlooked, but as the game designer and not the programmer, a lot of what remains is out of my hands. I've got some of the BEST programmers around and simply fantastic art talent on board and they are creating something BEAUTIFUL, but again, this is discussion for another thread... :) And besides, we all need to play some too!

Shadow Era's beta and now live game are pretty damn great. Kyle and company have done a stellar job of creating the first true CCG on the platform (though it's actual iPhone release is still pending Apple approval) that literally sets the bar for what this kind of game should be. Duels of the Runemasters isn't exactly a direct competitor with Shadow Era or Orions 2 though it does borrow heavily from the CCG genre, so we hope it will appeal to the same kind of audience and also be able to expand that audience at the same time. I have to say, seeing and playing Shadow Era has made us double our efforts and heighten our focus on creating a truly unique and stunning iOS customizable strategy gaming experience.

Can't wait for Orions 2 or for the iPhone edition of Shadow Era. It's a good time to be a strategy card gamer :)

The MOST ANNOYING bug in O1, by far, was the one where you hit the 'Buy' button from a city screen (campaign mode) and some number (seemingly random) of cards is already selected for purchase. I can't tell you how many dozens if not hundreds of times I accidentally bought random cards I didn't want.

    Wow. NOT a prompt response!

Never saw that bug although I know from experience the shop can burn fat fingers. Careful goes a long way.

You left me drooling. I am still watching your website... :)

I saw your announcement for late 2011, so no problem, with Shadow Era today and Orions 2 sometimes soon, I'll be occupied 'til your game approaches.
Maybe I'll try to volunteer for the beta test. And also, don't get me wrong when I am kidding... ;)

I hope Orions 2 will be submitted soon so that not everything (like FF3) shows up at the same time, leaving me wondering what to play first...

P.S.: I could send you a whip to speed up the development process... :D

Is there a price set for Orions 2 already?

This better have all the cards from The Second Age as Deckmasters is their 3rd expansion for the windows phone os and the iOS game we currently have is the original version.

Also I LOL hard at them saying they weren't going to develop sequels because the game was too hardcore when they churned out 2 expansions for the windows phones pretty fast. Are they trying to say iDevice gamers are stupid?

Only a guess! O1 drops to $0.99 (which we saw recently) and O2 debuts at $4.99. I could be wrong. Personally, I think it should debut at $2.99 just to get as many on board asap for MP, then boost it to $4.99 when it can be assumed you will always find someone to play against. Wishful thinking?

I still play O1 after all this time, so O2 is certainly worth full price for me.

I count 116. I think that's it, right? Never played the PC version.

I wouldn't be too harsh. They went with what the market was telling them to do and they are entitled to change their minds as conditions shift. In any event, as a beta tester, my most profound impression is that O2 has required a monumental effort by the developer to implement for iPhone and MP. I don't think you do that for a stupid audience.

It has nothing to do with being careful. I was able to replicate it dozens of times with extremely slow and careful touches. It's absolutely a bug.

I'm pretty sure Pavel visits here, so you might want to describe it in detail. It might have been fixed a long time ago, I dunno.

I do know I found a bug with duplicated cards in the shop but that was fixed.

There was no condition shift. Super simple games like Angry Birds will always sell better on a phone, but that doesn't mean games like these never do well. Nothing has changed regarding the market. They simply made a bad call. What you are still insinuating is that the windows phone players were a good market for quick release expansions and the iDevice market was not which makes no sense.

They made a bad call and is part of the reason why they have a sullied rep. I'm going to support them simply because iDracula was the reason I took iDevice gaming seriously and ate up so many hours of downtime, but they have no idea what the conditions are.

I'm sure it takes a lot more time to update/expand a game like this compared to something like Knights Onrush but they really should be more careful about announcing updates and then saying absolutely nothing later...especially when they updated for a different OS (but same platform..phones).

Also I'm really really surprised they never ported Azgard Defence on a platform where quality TDs sell very well.

They haven't updated the WinMo version after the release of the iOS version (if you mean this) - the last WinMo update (that is, Deckmasters itself) was released Spring 2008.

Starting with late 2008, the WinMo software, particularly gaming scene was completely dead and noone released games for it any more (except for some lackluster ports from Gameloft and the ongoing emulator development for SmartGear and FPSce).

Doesn't every iOS app run on the iPad? I know there are iPad only versions of some apps, but iPhone/iTouch apps run on the iPad just fine. Have yet to find one that doesn't although considering the graphics quality of Orions pixel doubling may make this one downright ugly to look at. Love the game but the in-game graphics have also had lots of room for improvement, even on older platforms.
