A lot of people would disagree completely with this, myself included.

    +1 to that.

Kard Combat might not be as pretty looking but I prefer its gothic feel and it isnt ridden with bugs and spelling/grammar errors like Orions 2.

    Plus its Universal.

Kard combat is awesome, even more strategic then O2.

I prefer KC to O2 at the moment. However, if O2 ever receives a major update to fix all that is wrong with it, then it will be up there with KC. (That's not to say KC is perfect and bug-free, because it isn't, but it's a damn sight better than O2 in those areas).

Developer hopes to have it ready "soon." No definitive date yet.

The lack of individual casts would argue against that. Also, combos are few and far between. And situations like Arise and adequate fire mana may be quite broken.

You can, if you're good. You can actually beat a Hard AI opponent without building a single thing. I did it the other day to challenge myself (I did do a couple save and reload, though). Because, when you win, you get some cards, you can sometimes make it entirely on that stolen fuel.

Alternately, you could build just enough to get a couple key cards, then get the rest as above. When I'm just playing a quick campaign, I'll often get Fairy, Cerberus, Manticore and that's it. Or just Monk or Giant Spider. Then you can rely on a single, easy to set-up core strategy, and gather the rest of your cards via victories.

As we can agree there will probably be no iPad version so I will be forced to buy this, but how does it scale on iPad?

Also how buggy is the game?

I'm fine with it on iPad and the few bugs I can live with easily.

i suggest you give the lite version a try and see for yourself if you like the 2x mode on it.. it does not have multiplayer but you can play a few skirmishes against the ai to see if you like it..

on the same account i would suggest you try Kard Combat aswell.. as both games share the same genes..

    Quick question

For these last three days I have not been able to get a single online match, despite several attempts. It just seems to search for a worthy opponent and then eventually times out.
Is there some sort of error in the multiplayer matching or did everyone just stop playing all of the sudden? Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I'm gonna say it's the latter (no one online). Amazing huh. How wide world, decent game, and no one playing. Guess the Dev just didn't listen to the publics opinion to male this a winner. Still a good game regardless. Crazy how the Dev hasn't popped in here to say hello...I mean c'mon, you make a game for the public and then don't do any advertising or public relations just to build momentum....it hardly even takes any effort!
If I had a iPhone game out I'd be shouting it from the rooftops!!!

Apparently, the developer is working on an update that will be released "soon". Call me a cynic, but I'll believe it when it happens. It wouldn't surprise me if he said that to appease us all. As to why he doesn't post in this thread, apparently it's not something he sees as a priority. He does not deem us worthy of a response by all accounts. We're only his customers, after all.

To the developer: feel free to prove me wrong.

Considering it was a "promise" and the game was released over two months ago, I would have to agree.

AMN, don't tell me you're giving up on Pavel and crew now too?

"Giving up on" is what this developer has done TWICE now with the Orions series.

Amn24 is to be commended for being as loyal and patient as he has, for as long as he has. But here is textbook proof that even a game's biggest fans can be driven away.

I play the game now and then, but have not gone online in quite awhile. Am recovering from a difficult surgery and I just can't focus too well.

Regarding my fan status I will always be a fan of O2. I really think it is the best app on the store, much better than the really good competitors such as Shadow Era, Ascension and Kard Combat.

It is just very disheartening to see the lack of support.

Hope your recovery goes well and you're back to normal soon!

RE: O2, I'm still a fan too, of the game, but the developer has turned out to be the monumental disappointment many of us thought he would be. I think it's time for an O/O2 clone from a developer who is invested in this community ;)

well if the dev can't be "arsed" to show his face in this forum a bit more regular.. i mean this thread has 1,5k replies and over 60k views.. so i would not say this forum is unimportant.. actualy a big part of their most loyal fans are frequenting here.. (hi amn, good and swift recovery!) so i would have at least give a definitive yes or no regarding updates..

in the end its up to the dev himself how much he wants to interact with his customers or not.. and how much he cares about his product or give a shi t (pardon my language)..

orions deserved better.. well if i can enrage myself about a game it usualy means its has potential, else it would be a quick delete.. but bummer about the lack of multiplayer people..

as a tip.. add GC friends who play the game and contact them directly for a session.. *shrug*

    :/

    So..

So who is still playing? I'd like to be your new best buddy so I can get my occasional Orions-fix.
