Interesting question here: Both of us have less than 5 health, both of us have a Druid. If I cast Acid Storm, what happens? I chickened out of doing it in a match, then went on to lose...
well you wiped the board off monster pretty good.. in the beginning.. and the tentacle guys where pretty annoying to get rid.. and you killed yourself by castin solitude.. i assume by will? edit: general question how can someone cast an enslave with 8 mana and then has a -3 on his counter ?! which then gets to 0 next round?!
They can't do that. It's a bug. But yeah, good game. I think if I had used Give Life (Hermit cast) on my Ocean Lord, I might have had a chance. I couldn't have done anything at that point. You were winning the mana battle.
thats the cast where the creature gets respawn after it dies? yeah that would have been trouble since i had no spell to wipe the board (or try to)
Hehe. Good game L. My extremely aggressive early attack hammered through your defenses. There was no way I could compete with you mana-wise. I had no early mana boosters (Satyr, Nymph, Nixie), no Wings of Wisdom or Blood Ritual, but I did have a Centaur and some nice spells as you found out Don't ever play a Fairy before it can cast. It's completely wasted because it's easily killed, and then you're down to 0 air and stuck for a few turns. Edit: Yeah that's the spell that makes you respawn.
No-no-no! If its cast will cost 1 Earth you will be able to cast only 1-2 Spiders during a duel. Do not forget - Spider's cast is defensive, it doesn't make any damage. That's why Water Troll heals itself for 3HP every turn. His cast isn't defensive, so it's reasonable that it costs 2 Water. If Troll didn't had self-healing ability it would be weak, because you can cast him again and use his ability only after 8 (6+2) turns. Middle-lvl cards (such as Spider and Troll) must have some.. replayability, so you can cast them several times per duel. I suppose I have a solution. If there is a situation when both of players get some damage, the caster always gets it first. For example, you have 1HP, your opponent has 1HP and Astral Cloud. You cast Steal Life with 6 Death elements - you lose. I think it's not a bug, it's a cheat. But it can be fixed.. I think the game should compare cards info of both players before starting a duel. Well.. And I think it should be fixed right in the next update for a very simple reason: if some cards will be updated there will be a difference between card sets. So if Spider will be lvl7 card in the update, the players who won't update the game will still be able to cast it for 6 Earth. I like enslaving such cards (under Hermit's effect) It's almost like you enslave two cards, not one p.s. anyone except me want Unicorn to return? It was a super card!!
I always found that Unicorn was an excellent card. However, I don't miss it at all, because I have always found his passive ability a bit too strong. Casting a unicorn in an almost fulll board would protect you from board cleaning with a massive spell. Finally, I just miss a kind of offensive 8-10 life mana creature. Valor is quite good agains death creatures (but not lich). Avatar may be equally weak or strong. Yeah, miss a mid-high creature
I think we may have to differ on this one. Spider's cast changes games like the best casts do. The likes of Enslave Mind, the likes of True Prayer. It completely shuts down units like Megaworm, and also is great in combo with Fairies. Even if its cast cost 1 Earth, I'd still use it regularly. You know you would too. Either that, or up it to Manticore level. 8 mana unit, then it can do what it pleases. 7 is still too easy to get for unlimited damage blocking.
Yeah I loved Unicorn, but its passive ability is a bit too powerful. High end life creatures need a lot of work. Valor - 17/5 (does double damage to player). Having 10 attack is like a walk-in sign for Fairies. Heals for 4 against death. Its cast costs 2 life not 3. Avatar - This is probably the glitchiest unit in the game. It does all sorts of weird stuff. Have it set at 50/5 if health is less than 50, mimic owner if more, and make it a giant magic healer, then it'd see a lot more use. Knight - This one pratically needs redesigning. For 12 mana, it's a dreadful unit. Compare it to Druid, and it looks like a level 7 unit. I like its healing ability, but it flatout doesn't work. It heals the unit which needs healing the least. Here's a change which would make it pretty deadly. 28/7. Cast gives one creature 5 health heal or 5 damage (if opponent) no cost. Every time an opposing creature uses its cast, hurts the creature for 3. Could be tricky to code, but it'd be actually somewhat useful like that. Still not on a par with Druid, but still a powerhouse, and one some players might actually save up to get for its casting reduction.
Kard Combat is based off the game Spectromancer (2008) which in turn was based off the game Astral Tournament (2002). Orions and Kard Combat share a common ancestor, if you will, and one is not copying the other.
Invite system is pretty buggy. Just post letting me know. Hopefully nobody gets mana screwed you know how to draft yes?
