Ah amn that was me playing as Iceman. My first online game. I hit find player and instantly joined you. Not knowing any of the new cards I thought I did decently until your spell wiped out half my board! That was a lot of fun. Mp can really get your heart pumpin
Yeah, anyone who wasn't in beta will be a noob for some time; we all need to get used to the new cards and such. What are everyone's thoughts on the custom AI duels? I haven't seen a way to get the parameters for each spelled out clearly, although said parameters are fairly clear after the first couple turns. They are quite fun, and at times difficult--a good way, I think, to learn the new cards.
This is disappointing. Wasn't part of the idea of going with Chillingo to introduce some so-called "quality control"? I still haven't hit the button on this one. I'm not thrilled at all with some of the early reports, and I've also just downloaded a number of new titles (or new to me, at any rate), so it's not like I'm lacking for playing time. Activate Watch-And-Wait mode!
Loving it so far - only had a chance to play a few games. Favorite new cards so far have to be the Monk and the Shadowclone!
Holy COW, Fairy was already overpowered in O1, but seems even more so now. I just beat the "Random Flow" custom AI duel in a matter of a few turns, and only summoned 3 monsters; Satyr, Fairy, and Shadow. Granted, the AI put out 2 Valors, which made for really, really tender juicy Fairy-fodder.
Ugh - Fairy hasn't come up in my few games but that was the one card I'd hoped would be toned down. It was way too OP in O1, especially if you don't have a Manticore or Grim Reaper to counter her.
The original Orions 1 is on sale for 99c at the moment! It's still worth picking up if you don't already have it but it doesn't have the online multiplayer http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/orions-legend-of-wizards/id299447546?mt=8
What's sad is that there's nothing unfair about that question. It's a subject a lot of us will be following closely, that's for sure.
Regarding the text issue, there are mistakes not only in the instructions but also on the cards. If they did run it by the quality control department, they did a bad job. It almost seems like the game has been poorly translated by a team of foreign developers who do not speak English as a first language. There is no excuse for sloppy spelling and grammar, especially for an app that has a major publisher/developer and so much money behind it. It might be a relatively minor issue, but I think it takes the polish off what could have been a high quality title.
Interesting. I'm not sure I'd like these games, so I may pick up the first one, but from what I've read here it is riddled with bugs. Is it playable in its state? Perhaps it is just better to pick up O2 if it's much better and be done with it. To be honest however, I have some reservations about supporting this developer at all, given all the criticisms about lack of support I've seen here on TA.
so i took a look at the mini version, because i felt that people will find more bugs with o2 and go figure this thread shows again the ugly face of the game. the mini is free is has skirmish with a limited card set and thats more than enough i need from orions2.. pretty dissapointing release.. of course the beta boys are humping the devs legs again.. did not expect anything different, but the overall state is the same.. identical gfx, minor touchup on the ui and different music. a few bugs fixed, new (old) bugs introduced.. good job. no it shows there is no real QA done by the dev or chillingo which is a shame, since i assume there should be a benefit to join a publisher and give him part of the revenue.. apparently there is not..
bought it and enjoying a lot so far! I don't care about grammar or spelling errors coz I don't see them. I guess thats telling something about my english. I'm not so into card games (my last card game was Pokemon which I played with my younger brother) but this one really take over me. I only wish there would be some updates in future so I can enjoy this game for some time.
one more thing.. Why there is no screen orientation option?!?! agrrrrr Is it so hard for coding or WHAT?! I hate games without screen orientation.. except this one.... for now
If you can fully document the circumstance, do so and accompany with screenshots. There ARE mechanics that are not obvious. Meneisyss showed me a couple of things where I wondered why such-and-such occurred and I had no clue at all.
I'm not even that concerned with appropriate punctuation as much as clarity of powers/abilities. Sometimes it isn't clear for example if the "Owner" being referred to is the owner of the creature itself or owner of the targeted creature being attacked that gets some additional effect.
