Yeah, insane match! I had no units that cost 5 or less in any element except magic healer. Dreadful cards on my end. I should definitely have lost that match. The only saving grace was that you had no decent death units to pull out

That banshee served you well too. Man I'm wondering what would have happened if I didn't play that raise dead. Was 1 lightning bolt away from killing you, but those healers saved the day. Ah it still hurts 3 hours later
Yeah that win still makes me giddy, and it must be tough for you to lose like that. I lost a game yesterday with my opponent living it up on 1 health. It was rough. I took some screenshots too by the way of our match. The first screenie shows a pivotal move for you. You cast Rejuvenation that turn, but I think you would have won if you had just blocked off the Centaur. I could cast, but you'd still be alive, on 2 health. I don't think I had a board clearer to get that additional 2 damage either. Then you could cast rejuvenation and you're home free. The death unit you had was Black Mage. It's actually quite a good unit for boosting death, and for use in certain circumstances, but in terms of power, it's one of death's weakest cards. Tough luck there.
No the banshee does 10 damage when it attacks the player directly. That's why i was on it like white on rice
O2 Review TA finally posted my review. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=95283 I was hoping it would accompany an official review by staff. Incredibly, less than a month, over 1200 posts on the main thread and there is zero coverage. I don't know what it is and can only speculate why there is such a reluctance to give this game the credit it is due. I'm still wondering how Chillingo fit into the picture, at all. What was their contribution? A trailer? Actually, I would think Pavel even did that. There is sooooo much depth here and the strategy posts on this threat can attest to this! I suppose all we can do is to continue to spread the word. I mean for three bucks, are you serious? How can one possibly go wrong? O2 may be one of the best games ever for IOS. It's really a shame that this is not receiving way more attention.
Not sure this is a sign of the game losing momentum, but yesterday I was not able to get a single game going - no one was around - and I tried at different times of the day. Over the past few days it's been getting harder and harder to get a multiplayer game started. I too have no clue what Chillingo's part in this was, except maybe as a carryover from promoting the first Orions and deciding not to put any marketing efforts into this one because the first one didn't do as well as they'd like.
I'm finding games pretty easily. Jut played a draft game. You may just have to restart your game. I find that sometimes the connection doesn't work properly at first. I've played 6 games today already, and it's been about 2 hours.
The game is losing momentum, down to 126th. Needs a push from Chillingo or TA! I'm not too worried about that (yet) since I think time of day or evening has a lot to do with it. I think we have a hard core base that from time to time will just step away for awhile for one reason or another. In my case, I have been giving Kard Combat a lot of play recently if only to be able to report on it at some point. Yeah, it's another CCG and it has a lot going for it, but good grief, there is simply no comparison in terms of d.e.p.t.h. Also, I'm now beta testing for the most anticipated IOS board game of the year (not even sure I'm allowed to reveal which one), so I need to spend some time on that. On top of everything else, I am coding the AI for my own game and unfortunately, I am not yet allowed to reveal info on that one either. I still usually get online for a game or two each evening although not always. The game will never be deleted and I'll always be around at some point. Best times for me are past 11pm edt (GMT 0300).
Here too... I played 4 games in the last one hour; I didn't need to wait more than 10-20 seconds before each of them.
BTW, today, I start (it'll be a long series of "Today's games and strategy hints"-types of articles) posting the detailed discussion of the matches I've played to the iPhone Life expert blog, based on the videos. It (posting to my iPhone Life blog) will also help the game to get more exposure... will post here ASAP when the first article (with today's matches) is up.
Oops... no videos for today... yesterday, I've heavily benchmarked DisplayRecorder with the benchmark counter I've developed for iOS and forgotten to switch back OpenGL recording before going to play today... the results: when there was animation, simply black screen....
I'm sorry, but can you prove it? I've played all of the top 10 players several times, except for Starcharts (the elusive one), and they're definitely way harder opponents than Ashcroft. It's nothing personal, but of the many matches against Ashcroft, i've lost half a dozen at most. I find it hard to believe you can rank up that many wins.
Suprakarma, you're a good player. Comes down to cards and some luck when you know how to play. I'm guessing you win 50% of our matches. Maybe today we played 3 and you took two. Cool. Other days we play 1 and I win that. Cool. I don't take it too seriously. Hell, im usually not paying attention most the time. I play out in the pubs and in the studio, while making food, etc. But I play a lot and obviously win a lot. I just like playing Yours, ashcroft/starcharts.
That's correct, even a newbie can rank up considerably by grabbing another ipod and dueling with himself.
