I feel proud to have defeated the champ on first try I was kinda nervous lol but I liked that game, none of us had cards that spams mana on first turns. Oh my 2nd round cards kinda suck... Shit shit! I forgot Satyr needs 1 mana to cast!! Man that Chronos has a lot of life...and nice use of fire wall..you must've played like 10 of them lol Boo I was gonna cast my life thingy after acid storm! Gotta go eat dinner, but 1-1 so far
This game can be incredibly humbling. You can go from hero to goat pretty quickly. A week or so ago, I was on a huge winning streak, probably won 14 of 15 games, could do absolutely no wrong, even when the cards were not that great. Not recently, though. No doubt there's a lot more proficient players online now.
Just checked the charts, discounting the hacker with a bazillion wins, it seems there's someone named starcharts with double the wins of n1k O.O wow he must play a lot..haven't met him yet... and anyone have all achievements? I got everything a long time ago except the 100 duels, though I'm sure I played hundreds. Bug?
That's the only one I'm missing. On another note, been playing Kard Combat a lot. Finally, after hours of play, found my first combo and it's broken. O2 is just so superior.
Thanks! Those 2 games I had almost complete garbage that's why I casted 10 Walls. But they are pretty useful In the first duel I've made a huge mistake - I had to enslave your first Spider, not the second one.. (p.s. I hate this Satyr+Spider combo ) I haven't met him too I suppose may be it's PLAYER? Or another one cheater I am playing just 4-5 duels a day. I could play more, but the most time there is no one on duels.
Internet connection cut out. I never resign, ever. What's your Game Center name? We can setup a few matches that way.
Good games Menneisyys. Hope you recorded them! That second game I was up against it with no mana boosters in my team save Satyr. If you had survived that first wave of attack, you would have easily won. Luckily, I had quick direct damage dealers.
Yup. GG. I've exit the first because I made a cardinal mistake (brought in a Fairy but was too quick to tap X after casting its ability; the screen recording working in the background really slowed down the machine and, therefore, the ability wasn't cast) and I didn't see much point in continuing after that because I didn't have very good cards either. Will post the two videos ASAP.
...And a yesterday's video of a match against Ashcroft (made on an iPad, hence the higher - but useless, as it's not antialiased - resolution) I've won: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drzEtg55bpk It was a pretty tough match; both of us had excellent cards. He had: Dispercer (didn't really mass-rush and I only killed one of them), Manticore (I had to wait with bringing in any caster units before my Dark Druid finished him off), Tython; me: Spider (at a time, used two at the same time, one of them being made useless by his Manticore), Berserker (used once to quickly kill a Skeleton), Dark Druid, Blood Ritual (started with it). At the end, in the last two minutes (before my last move), I've made a mistake: I have forgotten to use Banshee, which would have instantly killed him (he only had 6 HP).
BTW, regarding your question under the Ahhh video: I was hoarding Life mana as I didn't really have any good Life card except for Pure Heart (which I used once or twice against his Death cards) and Rejuvenation. Wanted to keep as much Life mana as possible to make sure I don't get killed - was ready to cast Rejuvenation any time (fortunately, I only needed to cast once).
You'd never need 13+ light at any time. Using it for offense with purify or eternal light means you can save on other elements which you might need later. Remember, you're giving up a turn for healing, so the chances are you'll choose not to more times than not. Usually, you don't cast healing more than twice in any game, and you had enough for two casts right off. Same thing with the game against Ashcroft. You're a great player, but overly cautious sometimes. At 5:37, Purify would have cleared the board for you by killing Tython and Imp, healing all your creatures, 3 of which were on 1 health, for 4. You had 13 light at that point and 70 hit points. It would have also saved your fire elements if you needed a berserker to deal with a threat. Blind added nothing, because the blademaster was stuck anyway with the web, and you couldn't kill the two other creatures in that same turn. He was terrible in that game though. Should have used Chaos Vortex something like 5 turns earlier... It's good going back and watching games, you see lots of mistakes, even in the games you win. The first game, you had a better chance than you think. Casting Turtle before Firestorm cost you the game. You had great death elements, so if you managed to hold out for an Enslave, you could have turned it around. Awesome vids though, thanks for recording and uploading!
On another note, I got mana screwed again in draft mode. I picked first, but switched picks to him after 3 elements. He started the game, and with a whole round of mana more than I did. He wasn't the best player though, so I won despite the deficit. Second time I've won a draft mode after being mana screwed. It's doable against n00bs, but against better players, I'd have been beaten handily.
