I don't even play it on the phne anymore. It looks great on iPad. Download the mini for free and check it out.
that's a valid criticism. I usually play quite deliberately and sometimes it draws the game out. I should try to speed it up a bit. Didn't do me much good last night. Between playing like a jerk and horrible decks, I finally quit to preserve my sanity.
Slightly off-topic here, but bear with me because it is related: Does anyone play Necronomicon? It's a horror card game based on the Cthulhu Mythos of Lovecraft. I'm downloading it again after not having played it since its initial release last year. It may (or may not!) be of interest if you like O2.
Would you cast Wings of Freedom or Fire Ritual on your first turn if after casting WoF your Wind mana is 0 and after casting FR your fire mana is 10? Personally I would cast WoF unless I also have Vulcan along with FR.
I don't like either turn one i like my mana producers first, but probably FR depending on cards. Blind and Fireball are pretty powerful to hold in red.
Omg! I didn't realize that was you! Unfortunately, other than the Enslave, it seemed you had absolute crap (or I suspect, I would have been toast). The tip off was the early cast of Centaur, which Menneisyys has shown me time and again is not all that great. I thought the Solituded Berserker was an absolute hoot and expected him to get stolen at some point. Combined with Mooncast, he was outrageous. I was so hoping you would take out the Tentacles. I would have killed them myself if I could have. I had some good stuff waiting in the wings. Tried for Draft earlier, got no bites. Maybe later. But I have to watch Game of Thrones.
Love it. Played the first version a few years ago, the new one is great, but i thought it was only flash based. It's great for every Lovecraft fan.
I think a dedicated O2 forum would be brilliant, with sections for discussing individual cards, strategy, and so on. It would be a good place to collate all the various tips and advice that more experienced players have submitted to this thread. If I had the know-how, I would set up the forum myself.
I like Orion 1 and played a lot in my 3G phone before. After I grab the second one, I'm not impressed at all and feel like ripoff, everything is same old same old. This one not even can category as expansion pack because nothing is NEW. all the design and card are 100% the same as before. They are just simply rename the title from Orion to Orion2 and that's it, yea multiple play support as well, so what!
Did you try the lite version first? O2 is different to the first one. There are about 40 new cards and MP. Those are major additions - I would never class the addition of MP with a "so what" comment. Playing against real people across the world is a significant feature and gives a far richer gaming experience than playing against the AI. O2 is not supposed to be a completely new game. If it was, it wouldn't be Orions anymore. And £1.79 is a tiny price to pay for what is, essentially, the only decent strategy card game on iOS (apart from Shadow Era). If you look at the screenshots for O2, you can see that the game looks pretty much identical to the first one and there are no changes in the presentation department. Always do a bit of basic research before paying for apps, and ALWAYS try lite versions if they are available. Then you minimise the chances of disappointment. Of course, we are all entitled to our opinions and O2 is certainly not for everyone, but your comments seem a bit unfair and ignorant.
No, but 10 attack and the ability to cut the opponent down with casts is strong enough. 7 casts x 4 = 28 plus 10 attack wipes almost anything off the board. Cast Mooncast and do it all over again. Fun. Warning: not a game winner, just mad fun.
Whoa. epic! Never thought of it before. I use Air Shield with Ghost/Shadows/Water Trolls/Scarelings/Lava/Astral to great effect though . on the ghost/shadows damage is cut in half before reduced by 2, so 6 damage would go to 1. 8 to 2. Crazy! While on regen monsters you have to deal more then 5 damage consistantly on the Water Trolls to eventually kill them, making him even more ridiculous.
