Hosting some draft games, someone come join me. Alternating style . Make sure to leave .ta in your name!
Played a match against Watzki. For some reason he didnt do anything on his first turn. It came down to the wire with him at 2 life and me at 10. He had stolen my hydra i think but i was able to throw down elemental fire after that. He had manticore, i had fairy. He had the stealing card i had chaos vortex. He played some cards really well. I liked the combo with...I dont remember names but its that earth creature that attacks twice as hard with full health plus that light creature that lowers your attack permanently by two. Nice seeing that. Overall a pretty awesome game. I dont know if I would've been able to win had he not skipped that last turn. Very fun game.
Played four Drafts yesterday, of course two of them had to be against rekirtS (I'll get you next time). Went back on late last night, could only find duels (that's just fine). Played two against Krillquinn. First was behind like 77-15 at one point, was seriously considering surrendering but ok, let's stick it out for another few minutes. I tried to get a mana advantage just a bit at a time. I had decent creature removal like Acid Storm, so it would not only wipe the board but give me back some life. Stormed twice, eventually i had enough of a mana advantage to start hammering. Spent a half hour preparing to bring in Dark Druid. DD is awesome. Much to my surprise, I was able to turn the tide and win. Second game, We were both down in life. At one point there was a shot we'd both be at one. I would've taken a screen shot of that! Again, mana advantage was the deciding factor. At the end, my Banshee was opposed, but with Evil Sorceror and Soul of Winds unopposed, there was nothing he could do. Pavel, thank you for this game. Even when I lose, it's an absolute blast.
Think dark Druid may be the best card in the game. It's very hard to lose if you can keep it alive. I played my longest game last night. At least half an hour. Again I had no heavy hitters to do big damage and opponent had spider, manticore, and rejuvenation. At one point I had 10-12 for every element while he had 5-6 with a clean board and I just didn't have the right combo to deal with his critters. Fun to try to stay afloat for so long and have to deeply think about new strategies tho
looks like only 1 player has to have the option for similar cards checked for each player to have similar cards, cause mine has always been unchecked but sometimes play others who have the same cards as me
rekirtS purposely took a lot of early damage with Ghosts trying to get his mana up to cast it in our Draft. Once he is on the table, he is extremely difficult to deal with. 2 Force of Nature can knock him down to 10 followed by a Starfall but in those three turns you're going to take a huge beating! Someone do the math, I'm too tired just thinking about it.
Yep helps in draft where I know you had no bloody wind or enslave to mess me up . He played really well with his high hp against your critter burn strat. On that note anyone wanna play a draft game? I find them more fun and more skill involved. If anyone wants to play i've got plenty of free time for the next six hours or so. Just make sure to give up first pick on three elements.
Enslaving a Dark Druid is pretty hilarious. I also experience no end in amusement from plopping Dispercers in front of an enemy Hermit.
Rasten In case you're wondering, I meant to switch the Ice Wall with the Satyr but pressed the Satyr's cast by mistake. At least I had enough mana to cast another Ice Wall and switch him with the Drake. The Druid was tough but he can be handled, just takes a lot of time to do it without spells. That was a really fine match.
Yeah, I figured you hadn't meant to use the Satyr's ability there. I made a few mistakes midgame with my Elementalist, too, that messed up my mana; happens all over the place. Hah, I thought for sure you were going to enslave my Druid! I was hoping he'd die before you had enough mana!
Tried for about a half hour at 11 pm edt finally found Rasten. Played only the one match. I was sure rekirtS was out there looking for Draft but I think I need to bone up some with the AI before taking him on again. Spanked me hard, no excuses.
Better than original? Hello, everyone! I'm casual player of original Orions who'd like to get an assurance that O2 is *really* better in terms of UI, random bugs, wrong text information and so on. I've played the lite version of Orions 2 and it seems they used the very same engine. Reworked campaign + wifi play is tempting, though. My question basically is: how bugged it is? Original one didn't really get any updates (contet or bugs related) and I don't like to pay for the same game twice while also broken. :/ Is there any message from developer promising new content? IAP cards, scenarios? The thread is huge and my searching wasn't very helpful. Sorry if I'm repeating someone's questions.
