I guess that's the best use of it. But wouldn't an opposing Dispercer be better? Or a wall? Plus: the best thing to stick opposite a Dispercer, imo, is Fairy or Manticore or Monk or any other creature you want to stick around for a while.

I think Nymph is decidedly underpowered compared to the other "mana boost" creatures. For 3 mana, you're a lot better off with the far more powerful and versatile Skeleton or Satyr. Nixie is only 1 more mana, but provides 2 more attack, 200% damage to fire, and the option of gaining twice as much water mana.

That said, Demon is the other mana producer that seems overcosted. FIVE mana for a 12/2 that doesn't passively give mana? Bleah!

Skeleton, Satyr, Nixie and Hermit (heck, and Apostate) are all good, solid cards with many fine uses.

Nymph (and Demon) gives you a lot less bang for the buck.

Agreed in that it isn't particularly strong compared to the other "bump-up" cards, not even after the 10 -> 14 HP increase compared to the WinMo version. However, it's still very nice to have and, in some cases (no other low-power cards available or no decent card to start the game with), it is invaluable.

Not really. I always bring Dispercers against strong cards so that they are killed as soon as possible, pumping up my mana really quick. Deploying them against weak cards means it'd take quite a while for them to be killed, which isn't particularly good with a card that is designed to be killed as quickly as possible. (This is, BTW, I also like the Dispercer + Blood Ritual combo.)

That's a lot of words to say "Rebalancing the game IMPROPERLY will ruin the game." That doesn't mean we shouldn't even try.

They are from orions 1. Not available in o2 I think for balance or to limit cards for drafting logistics

Orions 2 got a pretty harsh review on GameZebo 3/5 http://www.gamezebo.com/games/orions-2/review

As the developer of Shadow Era (that the reviewer preferred "in just about every way possible"), I have to say for the record that I really enjoy O2 and have played more than 8 hours already, even holding the top campaign ranking at one point. It is what it is, perhaps showing its age a bit now that it is 2011, but it's still a great game and personally I rate it a 5/5...

Hm, yeah, that's a good point. You're right; Nymph is better than Dispercer against Dispercer (which, side note, is spelled 'Disperser').

I'd still rather cast just about any other creature in the game, though. Nymph takes three turns to pay for itself. That's pretty terrible for a card that does 1 damage and hasn't a spell.

The thing about card cost is that it's not just the mana. It's the mana plus the opportunity cost of not casting something else PLUS the creature slot. If Nymph was zero mana to cast, it still wouldn't be all that good.

Even if it takes a long time to die, Dispercer is always going to cost -4 mana. For Nymph to be as mana efficient as Disperser, it would have to survive for SEVEN turns. Which means either (a) it's unopposed for 7 turns or (b) the opponent shrewdly put a good caster opposite your crappy Nymph, and is getting way more benefit than 6 mana out of the deal.

Hey Kyle! Great to see you being such a good sport about Orions. As the developer of a competing product, you could certainly have a worse attitude about it. Kudos.

But when I play on Windows Mobile, all the cards on the Orions Legend Of Wizard & Orions The Second Age appeared all at Orions Deckmasters. I like Flamming Arrow. The card is one of the best cards to beat the opponent

amn or menne....since you two seem to be pretty knowledgeable. Maybe either of you can help me figure out what was happening in the game I had going on. My original post is here

Again, there was a sorta of animation in the beginning at the end of my turn or the beginning of computer's turn. It looked almost like waves of water going around the screen but i could be wrong.

    Thanks

Nymph is good enough. Its the best low cost creature to use against Soul of winds. Its good against ethereal and fire wall too. It have more hp then Skeleton and Satyr.
Demon overcosted ? U are kidding ! Do you know about Demon + Diablo Combo ? Its the best combo in the game its close to be IMBA. U can pass compaight mode in hard easily if your main cards are Diablo and Demon. 2 fire for 1 earth is a very good conversion. As addition Demon fully immune to fire and earth spells.

Guys please stop talking about balancing a game. Balance is good enough to play again and again and again. U will understand that for shure if you will play more.

Unfortunately, Pavel decided not to include all cards from O1.

Nevertheless, there're a lot of new cards with similar funcitonality to the now-defunct cards. I've posted a lot of tips on all these; e.g., solving the lack of Paladin (Pure Heart / Valor).

hmm the more i play mp, the more i can't stand the "disconnect" guys
how convinient that the connection craps out when they start to loose..
at least surrender if you think you can't win, its not like every match needs to be played out if you don't see a chance to survive.. some of thoose are even in this thread.. i won't call names but i would like to find it more than fair at least to surrender.. since losses don't count (which they should to discourage such behaviour)...

would be nice if the hole matchmaking had more meat, so you could put some players on "ignore" and be done with them.

Yeah, I saw that and my immediate reaction was probably some kind of memory corruption. I don't see anything with the cards on board that would cause that to happen.

Memory problems seem to occur pretty often with this game and seriously, if you're playing a lot, the best bet is always to find the time to shut down and restart the iphone/ipad.

We agree on this 100%. There is absolutely zero reason to quit a game. Hitting "MENU" and "SURRENDER" is the graceful and classy way to exit and it costs nothing.

    Please play nice. :)

    Reminder - DRAFT DAY SUNDAY!

Reminder to all: tomorrow is DRAFT DAY.

I really do not have the time to begin implementing a staggered schedule as I suggested last week, so if it is Sunday where you are, it is DRAFT DAY.

If you do not want to play draft, no problem, just hit "DUEL."

If you want to play draft, hit "CUSTOM DUEL" and "DRAFT."

Despite the fact that some of us are 12-13 hours apart, if we hold Draft all day Sunday from 12:01 am to Midnight, there will be ample time to meet up with opponents from all around the world.

Oh, and another thing. If you post here, just let us know where you're from. I live in Wantagh, NY about 23 miles east of NYC.
