Yeah man, that match was pretty intense--I actually had things planned out several turns in advance, in hopes that nothing would get messed up with surprises. Massive gample on my side, and for you as well--things just went my way that time. That was definitely one of the most epic nail biters I've had--it really could have gone either way.
Just finished an amazing duel against free-spirit. Truly amazing. I believe we were both near victory for 3 or 4 times. Tables turned with Kraken, then with Earthquake, and then again with Bloody Wind. It was one of the most savored victories i had against a truly remarkable opponent.
Re nerfing There have been a few mentions about Giant Spider and I have even seen comments that Manticore be nerfed to require a cost to cast Memory Loss. Again, my view is that there is absolutely no need to nerf anything at this point. Re the above two cards, I played a match against Ashcroft last night. He went first with a Nymph, giving me the opportunity to go Ritual/Ritual in my first two turns. The double Diablos turned out to be hamstrung by first one Spider, a Manticore and later, a second Spider. From there, all I did was try to build mana, casting very cost effective stuff until my Enslave was ready to take whatever hugeness he would eventually cast. I caught the Knight. Seeing both Spider and Manticore on the other side forced a few tactical changes but was nowhere near a game over situation. Although I'm sure Ashcroft might not have made optimal choices throughout, there are usually methods to deal with the other side of the board and it can be quite a tug of war, such as the one Rasten & SupraKarma just told us about.
Sorry, Djazz! It's a pity that game center doesnt let us send messages to recently encountered gamers.... I just concluded an excellent matchup with a player called Djazz. He beat me fair and square... then I was up against him a second time and the game just exited to the title screen. I reconnected immediately and found myself in the previous game...then all of a sudden it ended and I got a victory. I'm pretty sure he'll think I was running some sort of exploit so I'll just use this medium to give my apologies and *hope* he can see this!
You have best deck ether that time Cant do anything against that. No healing spells only rejuvination but i have not got enough light. I did all i could to survive but its not enouth. PS invite me in GC as oxrenitelni_nik
Okay, this thread has become huge and I haven't been able to keep up, so I'm just going to ask. Has anyone put together a complete card list for O2? I mean a list with all card names, costs, scores, text, etc as a reference for those of us who can't play much but really need to learn the cards (so I can be more of a challenge to you guys online!). If there isn't one currently out there, is anyone working on one?
Well I've put about 30 CPU duels under my belt (random and draft) and have a pretty good idea what each card does. Guess it's about time for me to try multiplayer and throw myself to the wolves

I'm going to echo a thought from a few page ago: these session reports from individual matches serve only to horribly clog this thread and possibly turn people off from finding out more about the game. A session report is interesting to exactly two people only. Really, everyone else's eyes glaze over. For those who like posting these sorts of after-action reports, could I suggest starting a thread in General?
Someone posted very recently they had a list but I don't know if they had all the info. Menneissys is working on a strategy guide. Seriously, your best bet may be to go into Campaign mode and just go into the card shop and examine each and every card individually. I did that as soon as I got the beta. Took awhile to get familiar with them but it worked for me.
I disagree. I've followed this entire thread, and it's only these complaint posts, like yours, that are painful to read.
I'm with you. I for one find amn624's match reports pretty interesting, actually. I like reading the play-by-play of a good match.

Actually some of these match results have been very helpful, some of the general strategy and combos posted has given me ideas to use. However if a separate match thread is made I won't mind either
Thank god this has finally been released. I've had a really good time with it so far. I haven't even tried the campaign (looks similar to O1 which I didn't really care for), but AI and online duels are pretty much the perfect iPhone game for someone with a few extra minutes. I love the new cards too! I'm really hoping this is successful enough to warrant a few updates. I do think some of the cards are OP, and that it would mostly be fixed by assigning more element usage to unit powers. I think cards like Giant Spider and Fairy that have free powers just need a bit of cost added and they'll be fine. And I'd pay for new card updates, needless to say.
I only posted it as a rejoinder to the nerf discussion but Duke is correct. It makes sense to have a separate thread just for match discussions. If someone else wants to pick up that ball and run with it, I'll be happy to chase behind. The traffic here has been intense. 68 page and 672 posts in one week? Unbelievable (and I just added another). But if it stays here, no problem. I'll continue to drown in posts.
