It's really worth playing MP because the AI is incapable of a LOT of neat tricks - for example, using Ice Wall. You will only see these excellent tricks from a human player. Use an anon GC account if you want to remain anonymous.
It's worth checking out the WinMo tutorial at http://justanothermobilemonday.com/Wordpress/2007/03/11/review-orions-legend-of-wizards/ . It'll get you started. After you've gone through the writeup, you may want to also check out my past Strategy Guides. They are of limited utility now that Orions 2 is VASTLY different from both O1 and anything on Windows Mobile, though.
Almost forgot. It seems like there is anoter bug with Enslave. The description says it requires 1 free slot to resummon enslaved card on your side, but sometimes it doesn't work properly with 1 free slot (the monster dies) - you need two slots. Wait a minute.. There is anoter one ) It's about Tentacle + Salamander. If Salamander on the right of Tentacle, everything works like it should: Tentacle gets +2 to attack. But if Salamander on the left side.. get look on the screen.. Oooops I wonder what QA were doing all those months..
Median--there's a fairly steep learning curve with the game, and it is taking everyone a bit of time to get used to how things work. Those of us familiar with Orions 1 and MTG are, of course, having a much easier time getting used to how things work and such. That being said, Menneisys (SIC, sorry bud) will, I think, soon come out with a strategy guide for all the cards in the set. I'd recommend playing the AI for a few bouts, and, specifically, messing around with the custom duels. The custome duels really do a fairly decent job of forcing you to use what resources you have available to you. Right now, almost everyone is still swimming in deep water with regard to figuring out how things work. There are those gung-ho crazies (myself included) who are going bonkers over the MP aspect, but don't get intimidated--in a few weeks, once most folks get used to the mechanics, things will settle out.
Ah, I was wondering what people were talking about with this being a great card. Gaining 6 fire (only netting 2) is pretty crappy so I never tried casting it because I believed the description was accurate. Now that I know it really gains 10 fire (netting 6) it's much more useful. Knew I had to be missing something there
Yieks.. another one So far at the moment, I discovered the following bugs: - Two opposite Blade Masters -> the game crashes => major bug - Salamander + Tentacles -> wrong calculations - Blood ritual -> mistake in the description - Apostate -> mistake in the description I'm playing only for 2 days. Beta testers and QA worked with the game for 2-4 months. The game is really great and I love it, but.. It looks unfinished. p.s. haven't tried campaign mode yet
Almost forgot one more important thing! Since there are no more Poison card in Orions 2 nowhere is written that any type of poison doesn't affect Undead monsters! So be careful using Poison Storm & Slug.
I really hope so.. this is great game with huge potential. First I want to see bug fixes, then translation fixes and after all new cards as IAP-or not, doesn't matter. Building your own deck would be nice for multiplayer too. and yes... automatic screen orientation PLZ!!!
Haha omg just accidentally played a second fairy instead of using my existing ones spell to win and ran out of elements. Ended up losing hahah lame
Yeah, that was a tough match... BTW, at the beginning, I've also made a cardinal mistake: used Satyr's ability vs. your Elementalist, which, of course, didn't work as no damage taken as Satyr is under level 4.
Frankly, I wouldn't hold my breath... nevertheless, the game is worth every penny, the bugs listed aren't that bad and the vast majority(!!) of MP games are NOT affected by them. Particularly if you deliberately avoid situations where they would turn up like a bad penny.
Good points! The only one that really concerns me is the Enslave but tell you what, I won't cast it unless I have two free slots.
Yup, that description MUST be corrected - initially, I've also cast it several times just to see the critter fading away...
I personally think that blood ritual is really op seeing as you can any fire spell out on the second turn. I found that it is extremely unfair if you get it with the fire elemental because it doesn't take damage from harmful fire spells. It gets +7 power every turn at least and does 9 damage when it comes in.
Ha, yeah I hear you. Only problem is that in a few weeks when everyone else has figured stuff out I will still be struggling to figure it out! Oh well, I will keep my eyes out for a complete noob's guide to Orions 2.
Sometimes duels just seem to be who gets the better cards I don't know... Wish we had a better draft system.
