In O2 it seems to be viable to build up an uber powerful creature, using buffs like Solitude, God's Armor, and the Shadow's caster ability. Its pretty fun as you can use support creatures like the Lava Spider or Elvish Hunter or mass damage spells like Starfall to help take out any thing blocking it. I haven't seen Bloody Wind or a similar spell that can one shot a creature, though I haven't looked through all the cards. As an aside, Lava Spider and Elvish Hunter are nice in combo with the Assassin as well...
Well this is utter bullcrap. The game sometimes bugs out with Game Center and you can't authenticate your profile at all. You're forced to quit the game and start it again in order to play online. And this happens ALL THE TIME. God dammit.
I'm seeing the same thing apropos gamecenter, it really is a pain. Some good matches today--hurrah for a day off work!
This game is so AWESOME, so AWESOME! and rejuvenation is a bitch (pardon the language, but it is), it`s clearly the most overpowered card, i mean (definetely not to brag, just making a point) i got to maximum health 3 consecutive online games! if you get this card at the beggining of the game it`s like 75% win, if not more
I have been looking at the cards, what do you think is the strongest creature? I was thinking the Kraken.
Very much agree, the *flow* of this game is actually quite different from O1 as big creatures hang around longer and fights go on longer. My O1 tactics of starting off conservative by summoning income monsters and cheap durable stuff doesn't work as well in O2 and I'm working on adapting to the new system and coming to grips with all the new cards. Bloody Wind is still there, but it costs 10 now rather than 8. I haven't seen it cast yet. At first I thought Lava Spider was kind of weak but then realized that he could target other creatures and not only the one across from him. Now I regard him as decent but you have to be very careful where you summon him or he can die very quickly. Elvish Hunter is solid, but a very sad panda if your opponent has a Manticore. I like the Assassin, although his cast is a little expensive. If you like him, try the Python (I'm sure you already have of course). Anything that dings up enemy creatures works well with both of them.
Is it considered a win and do you get a point when someone quits the game? Just had that happen today when I was clearly winning (hence why they quit).
Played with you several times, thanks for the interesting play Summoned Scylla instead of Nixie by accident in the very beginning of one of duels.. it ruined the entire match p.s. Blood Ritual seems to be a bit OP too. And I beleive it is a bug. Description says "You gain 6 Fire", but really you gain 10 Fire (do not forget 4 Fire elements for casting!). It should work like Earth Chant - it first decreases Earth by 5 (spell cost) and then increases Earth by 8, so really you get only 3 elements, not 8. There wasn't such bug in WinMo version (to be honest, the card was pretty useless, but now it's OP).
Ahhh, yeah NIK, I was wondering what was up with that Scylla, it did screw up things for you a lot. I haven't really been keeping track, but I do think we're about 50/50 over the past couple days. I've definitely played you more than any other single player out there, hehe. You had the edge on me yesterday, but today has more gone my way. Very fun games. indeed!
The more I play this, the more I am enjoying it. But I'm still only playing duels against the AI for the time being; I'm a bit scared to go MP and get my arse (that's Limey for "ass") kicked. I will pluck up the courage to go MP soon I think. I am playing O2 more than Shadow Era at the moment (sorry, Kyle!) Much more, actually.
It was vastly UP in the beta version, so much so that it was an automatic cast on first turn, especially if you were start player. Now, there's a choice to make. My 2 cents - it's fairly priced.
Well, maybe it's ok, but still there is a bug in the description (you gain 10, not 6 Fire elements). But wait.. it's not ok when you have Diablo in your deck. For example, you have 5 Fire elements on start, then you cast Blood Rutual twice, then you summon two Diablos.. ta-da! Almost an instant win
Well, you can't summon them both on the same turn. In the meantime, your opponent is up two slots on you. And there is still adequate creature removal or other effects to make it all a wasted effort. No guarantees in this game.
I don't know its Been mentioned but if you press the yellow section on the bottom of your screen you can see a small history on what's happened n the game so far!!!
I'm finding this game really hard to understand as a newcomer to TCGs. All the translation errors don't help, either. I will probably have to wait for someone to create a wiki for the game before I can figure out how to play it effectively.
