Yeah Scylla is arguably the worst card in Orions 2, whenever the AI uses Scylla I am guaranteed to win..once he had 3 Scylla on the field massively pumping water mana my way and I just summoned 2 krakens lol
I'm interested in trying this, but pretty disappointed that it's not Universal nor is there a separate iPad version. Any plans for an update to make it universal? Or a separate iPad version? If separate, I'll wait for that rather then buying this one.
Meneisyys, does this sound like it would work? Not sure you can pass your pick. Can you test vs. yourself later and see? If it works, maybe we can establish some kind of convention for players to adopt in Draft mode.
Is anyone here playing with the name "Santa"? i just had today a 45 min online duel with him, totally epic!
Crunc, take my word for it. It's fine on the iPad at 2X. Put on headphones and you'll be so totally immersed you won't regret it. The sounds and animations are so far above and beyond the call of duty. And the music is great. There will NOT be a separate iPad version of this one. It would require redrawing everything.
Just a suggestion. We need more players to speak up. no reason why we can't have two days of Drafts and different days as well.
Just bought and started playing last night, been waiting for this one for a while, as a purveyor of card games. Never played Orions 1, but this seems like a good game, and I look forward to playing the crap out of this game for many hours. A few complaints: -When I open the game, I have to turn my iPad upside down. Why doesn't it rotate automatically like literally every other app I have? -Please make it universal. -Fairy seems OP to me, wow. I had one game in hand, he cast Fairy, and suddenly I was demolished. Really no drawback for her to spam her spell? Really? Everything else seems pretty balanced. And I don't even have a way to get rid of my huge creature she was beating me with. -This is probably my own boneheadedness, but my cards keep changing every game. I open my spells, intending to cast one, and it's not there. From what I understand, it's because the same card can't be in both mine and my opponent's decks? I tried opening the menu and clicking the option that would allow that, but it didn't change anything. Allof my creature-damaging spells have disappeared. (right now I'm playing campaign mode only) Other those things, I'm liking the game so far.
There will be times when it is dangerous to cast something like an 18 power Elemental and you have to be on guard for that. Guarding against a seemingly weak Fairy's amazing ability is part of the game.
Still working on learning all the new cards here, and I miss some of the old cards that were dropped, but there's lots of cool new stuff too. If you haven't tried it yet, start your game by summoning a Scareling turn 1 and then cast Solitude on him. Amazingly powerful, he's dealing 16 points and one shotting most creatures that can be summoned at that point in the game so you should be able to coast to an easy victory. Good support cards would be stuff that keeps him healed up or does light damage to any opposing creatures that manage to come in at slightly above 16 health. Also, a couple more good fighters to pound your opponent while he's busy trying to figure out how to deal with the Scareling of Doom.
Thoroughly tested this between my two iPad's. Curently, if the player with the first turn taps the X before selecting any card (that is, leaving the deck intact), the other player can go on selecting. Both will be able to select 4 cards for each element, as usual. In the second turn (and, after that, in EVERY turn), his opponent will be able to start selecting; that is, his opponent will need to tap X when starting the next round so that being able to select first goes back to the player that originally pressed X. This way, you can achieve true(!) alternating between the two cases. Just keep in mind that both players will need to tap X when and only when - they were the first pickers of the previous element - the selection deck a new element has just been displayed and it's still intact. All this offers a simple way of alternating, even without Pavel's explicit support.
Not really, IMHO - that is, prefer this one. O1 is only worth checking out if you get bored with O2 and want to learn some other cards - strictly against the CPU (no multiplayer in O1).
Works for me. If we institute a special DRAFT day or days, who's in favor of adopting this convention? Seems fair. Player A: Drafts first for Water. Pass on Fire. Player B: Draft Fire, pass for Air. Player A: Draft Air, pass for Earth. Player B: Draft Earth, pass for Life. Player A: Draft Life, pass for Death. Player B: Drafts first for Death. Correct?
ok so i have a question, if anyone can help me! earlier today i played a few online games, and game center worked just fine and all, but when i checked now, i`m not ranked or anything and i`ve played a few now, but still nothing! anyway, on a side note, wouldn`t it be great if they released if not an update, a payed pack with the old cards?
Hard to keep up with this thread now.... I've played a couple MP duels now and - love it. Would be nice if gamecenter tracked % wins so it's not just a matter of who plays most. Also, would love in game chat like Carcassone but i doubt that'll ever happen... I love most of the new cards - some really interesting combos can come out and the duels seem to last longer allowing some longer term strategies the chance to come to fruition. I doubt I'll ever have a big enough block of time to play a tournament, but will be around 9pm Pacific or later most weekdays for anyone who wants to duel. I'm still learning the cards - there are a ton! Thanks Chillingo, Pavel, Moregames - I know about 95% of these threads have been complaints but the bottom line is the game is here with more content and multiplayer so I am happy. Best thing we players can do now is spread the word so the more this app sells, the more some suit is likely to say we need to put more resources behind o2! cheers, dc
