I asked before but nobody really gave me a clear sense...

If I want one of the two games, O1 or O2, strictly for single player, which one is better? If O2, is it appreciably better? If so, why?

    Thanks in advance!

O2 is much better even in single player (duels) - much more advanced cards. And you have always the chance to play other people, should you change your mind regarding "no Multiplayer" :)

Try the lite (Orions 2 mini) first. For all it's brilliance, Orions 2 is also flawed, and even some CCG veterans find it not to their liking (while others with similar backgrounds love it).

Despite O2's faults, I would also suggest you take a running jump and dive straight in. The price is good and you do get a decent game for your money, on the whole.

I think the bug thread is a good idea; with any luck, it will not only encourage people to post their buggy experiences, but may even attract the attention of those who are responsible for squashing those bugs. You never know ;)

Hi all, I'm new in this thread.

I have been playing O1 since his first release on Iphone, and still enjoyed the game 2 days ago. Damn O2 is so good, I can't help myself playing again and again.

Just wanted to share with you about a strategy point over a card : SCYLLA. I have been very disappointed not to be able to find it any utility. As a matter of of fact, the essence of this card seems to be "full fil your opponent of water element, so that he can cast his biggest critters".

As anyone come to a strategy with this card, that I may have not seen ?

    Thanks in advance !

I hate that card too and never use it myself. The AI, on the other hand, very frequentky uses it, for some reason. (dunno why...)

Agreed. Could not believe this would be missing when I heard it a couple months ago. I was outraged even. Love this game, but still incredibly disappointed in the publishers for many things (QA anyone?) and the devs for a couple things (no constructed MP, can't count on updates/expansions).

Despite these complaints, it's still a MUST have, lives among my favorite apps on my home screen and will likely NEVER be removed from my phone.

Indeed... AI uses it, imo too block your cards coz Scylla is basically a cheap card : 6 waters, 3 waters refund, for a 18/5 card, which means 3 waters for a 18/5 card.

However, in my very opinion, the disadvantages of this card, i.e. providing mass waters to enemy, is not worth it at all. I never wanna see a sea monster or a kraken popping up into my face.

Guys, have you also noticed that in O2, it is kinda common to see 4/5 creatures at the same time on a board for a quite long time ?

I really enjoy this, coz fights are getting really huge ! This is mainly due to three facts :

    • there are less spells which directly attacks enemy health points, which means that now on, players are mainly killed by creatures.
    • there are many buffs / debuffs in O2 acting on : creatures attack (monk, salamander, diablo, bless, python, empower, etc) - creatures armor (bless, air shield, rust, etc) - creatures health : (force of nature, moloch, bless, etc).
    • there are many ways to get some elements quickly, both with spells or creatures.

All this to say, O2 is now mainly based on huge creatures fights, managing the slot placements, the blocks, the creatures casts, spells you can cast with 5 creatures, etc...

    So great !

Yup. As Meneisyys said earlier, very chesslike.

I've only had the time for 6 online duels so far and all I can tell you is this game is as engrossing as any I have played in my entire life. Veritable eye candy despite no HD, the animations are incredible, the detail paid to sounds (like the Giant Turtle squishing the enemy) is so far beyond what was necessary. And then there's the music. Great, simply great.

    Mondays/draftdays [???]

    Making a proposal here.

Let's think about making all Mondays for online DRAFT play.

Since we're all around the world, the baseline should probably be GMT time, which for me (NY) is GMT-4. In other words, it's almost 2pm GMT right now and almost 10am EDT here in NY.

So, just for an example, Mondays DRAFTs would begin for me at 8pm on Sunday and extend to 8pm Monday. Does this all make sense?

Then, if you are interested in MP Draft play, you would select the "DRAFT" option before trying to connect online. Doesn't mean you cannot play regular duels but if you want to play DRAFT, you're going to need an opponent who has selected DRAFT as well. I don't see that happening very often unless we set a time frame for it.

    Alternate ideas and suggestion???

Yeah I was almost 100% sure you were going to win that one, but the longer I can survive, the better :)

Did you have Astral Cloud or Dark Druid on the board?

Coincidence or not, the only disconnect issues I've had so far happened when I was winning ;/

Draft days sound fun! Maybe we should also pass every other pick to the opponent or something. Really wished it was more balanced.

I am really hoping for some updates here.
