I knew Gameloft would port this...no reason not to, and who could pass up an original Apple game on the newest device? Graphics look quite good :D

Edit: Here's the existing game for mobile

    http://www.gameloft.com/mobile-games/the-oregon-trail/

    Graphics look significantly improved...exciting

    Double edit:

I could see this being in the Top 10 for quite some time...looks like lots of mini-games and the game itself lends itself to the iPhone very well

Yeah, i'm upset now. It won't be $9.99 i dont think.

on that link, that game was $4.00, so maybe 5.99 or something

  13. ah crap

that would require me to hold back and wait for some seriously good reviews... with a lot of pondering on top of that

This looks great. I've veered away from games from bigger developers mainly due to price, but I'll probably have to pony up for this one. Maybe they'll provide a retro track mode that uses sound effects from the original game :)

Judging from the screens this looks like a plain collection of mini games. I sure hope, that this will not be the case...

i was beginning to worry about that myself...i wounldn't mid a mini game ever so often when you reach a river or town or something, but it better not be based too strongly on them...

That last screen shot has me a bit worried about the mini-games. A couple of new ones are fine but the main part of the story/gameplay should be like the original. Also they must make a good hunting game, it's a must!

I loved this game as a kid and can't wait to give this a whirl.
