If you've ever played an MMO at launch, this is nothing new. Hundreds of new players, playing a new game all at the same time = all of them grinding in the same areas. It takes a few weeks to get settled.
Indeed... I've seen it countless times You dislike it when the MMO first launches, then you wish it were back many months after its release once the starter zones become barren, haha.
Yeah, this was a breeze on the Tear Coast server. I saw one other person there, and he was doing a different quest AND left shortly after I arrived. So, what that meant was there were a dozen sailors at least all lying on the beach at once. I cleared through that quest quick. It's too bad you guys didn't pick a different server for your official TA guild or I'd ask to be join up. I rerolled from Arcadian to Tear once I got tired of the tons of people everywhere. Things have picked up on Tear Coast, but it's not bad (just more folks who have fled Arcadian).
There are pluses and minuses to being on a heavily populated server. It can sometimes make solo questing a pain but grouping is easier. And if they ever implement instances or raids a higher population will be a huge plus.
Uhh yall need to fix the mountains that border the edges of maps. Ive been able to get over them fairly easy. Try adding an invisible wall or something.
Yeah, and you can end up with a less active AH also. Since there are only 4 servers and the game is less than a week old, I am banking on the idea that the populations will pick up on all servers. And also that if I keep playing, I should continue to move onto the next zones as new players come in and not suffer bad camping problems with the influx. That's the hope anyway Too early to predict one way or another so I'll just enjoy the ride for now. One thing I really like about this game is that, like traditional PC MMOs, you can obtain quest chains from items dropped by mobs or random named bosses. And today, I finally got to work on a Daily quest. Didn't know they even had them in this game. Just another quest type they didn't have to bother implementing, but am glad to see based on my other MMO experiences.
True. I would most likely would have gone with a low population server as well but I wanted to join the TA guild.

I must say that Order & Chaos is an extremely impressive technical achievement. Gameloft have truly succeeded in copying World of Warcraft. Now iOS gamers can be as bored and disillusioned as PC MMORPGers.
Doesn't take much to impress you, but to each his own, I suppose... For those lamenting the lack of 3G connectivity and who happen to be jailbroken and using 3G Unrestrictor, I can happily report that Order & Chaos runs very well over 3G.
I think I just realized that inviting offline people to guilds doesn't work..that's why so many of those names didn't show up. If you sent me a message and didn't get an invite, add me in game and shoot me a message when you see me on. To anyone else interested, buddy me on the Arcadian Forest server @Backtothis, and shoot me a message if you want to be invite to the main TA guild. Sorry for the inconvenience. I didn't know previously that you couldn't do that.
Actually, return trips for less than one gold (using the one shot teleport items) start to become acceptable at some point. I get that much for some quests now at 33. Gold does not seem to be an issue in this game.
That's a repeatable quest, I guess it's meant as something you do on the side. You can accept it again immediately after returning it so the drop rate has to be low. I don't remember level 20 being grindy. You won't even see most quests in the swamps at 20, though.
The first is in the first location on the whispering islands. They have a violet icon. There are repeatable quests too, starting in the swamps, but the daily quests are worth more exp.
Zoom out to the world map and you'll see Whispering Islands in the north central area. Port Verecel or some such in the Swamps connects to it by sea.
Can anyone let me know where to turn in the Pieces of Lost Scroll that drop off enemies in the Swamp? I have like, twenty of them, but I can't find the quest anywhere. Thanks!
