When you lose a bid your money is returned by mail.

As long as you don't get any mail for the auction it's still on and you're still top bidder. You can go to the auction house and check your bid list too.

    Question about the quest log...

I assume green text means easy quest and yellow is more difficult...

But what the the button color? Some are blue and some are grey?

Hey all. Just got the game. Am still on level 1 but look me up if you want to quest etc. with a fellow TouchArcadian.

In game name is also Alyfantis, and I'm on the Arcadian Forest server.

I think the blue one is the one you are closest too, not sure though.

You can still do them regardless of colour, so it doesn't really make a difference.

Like JML said, there is a pre-requisite for the quest that needs to be satisfied first such as your level or perhaps doing another quest beforehand.

On a related note, I ran into this bug where I kept getting an error that I wasn't close enough to an NPC when I tried to tap on his yellow "quest available" icon above his head. It turns out he was busy on an escort quest somewhere else so his actual location was really far away but the game still had him drawn in his starting location. It's a minor bug but if that happens to you just wait for a while for him to truly return back to his original location.

This is how morale is supposed to work. Unsurprisingly, this is exactly how a warrior's rage meter works in WoW. It is not based on any stat although there are talents to help you build it up faster during combat.

It's a good method to stop nuking a mob instantly, i've never played wow myself but I like the system as you have to balance out the warriors healing skill or nuke skill for the best situations.

I think you can use 5 skill points at some point to gain morale 25% faster (5% per skill point) but you need to be level 20 or so to access it.

I thought about that... but if I have, say, eight quests, half are blue and the other half are grey. And I just finished the "lovers" set of quests (with the roses, etc.) and I *think* those were grey (even though you only have to walk back and forth about). I could be wrong...

Color of quests is difficulty. Red means above your level, Yellow means in your level range, green means below your level range, grey means way below (and probably no xp, I haven't chcked). Blue highlight I think means completed.

I have that skill maxed, good in the middle of battle yes but not before.

Warriors have that sonic blade thing but it cost 30 so I can't use it as a preemptive. It kinda defeat the purpose of that skill don't u think?
If u are already up close and personal to gain morale why would u need a ranged skill? To stop the enemy from running away?

They have another skill in the guardian branch at lvl 40 or so which supposedly will permanently raise your morale. But still quite far for me.

Is there a way to pass through to the northernmost town in Swamp without going thru the pvp area? Still ok now that few people are there but in the future it certainly is going to be an annoying choke point where less than scrupulous lvl 60 as$es would hang en masse before mowing down lvl 20-30 "newbs" passing thru just to finish the quests at swamp town

Try portals. Not sure if they'd go to your destination, but it's worth a shot.

Sorry for delayed response. The escort quests I've seen so far were either moderately difficulty or hard. The reason for the hard was that they appear to trigger ambush spawns of mobs as part of the quest in addition to the normal mobs that are in the path. The NPC *will* fight with you, but he/she can die, and then you must go all the way back to where the NPC started/spawns and re-escort if you didn't die yourself; some quest NPCs fight better than others.

They walk (not run), then stop and talk, then walk again, so it's not quick. I'd say that'd be a pain but you don't usually have to escort them for very long (not as long as some escort quests I've done in Rift or WOW).

Thank god they're short, then. Since I posted that, I've also found that you actually have to wait for the escort givers to respawn, which is really annoying.
