Well ask what you want to know and we will answer. As for what a guild is, it's a "Team" if you will, that you are grouped with by invite. Someone sends you a guild invite and you can be in a "Team" with them. This is seperate from a "Party" though. A "Party" is more like a group in which you do actions, such as killing and questing with. Usually consists of 2-4 additional people to play with. But a guild (appearantly is a 60 person cap) is just a huge "Chatroom" if you will with your friends/people you know/people from TA etc. Hope that helps a little.
Thanks! Now how does the kill system work? Does everyone in the guild/party get the same exp. Points for a kill or do you have the kill the enemy solo to get the exp. Points?
Usually how it works is that everyone in he group gets a cut of the experience (I assume divided equally). Distance is also usually a factor (like you have to be within a certain distance of the kill to get some credit for it). Sometimes level is a factor (ie a level 60 killing a level 60 mob might not give xp to a level 1 standing grouped nearby). I cant give you exact details without looking into it, but thats usually how it works in general
Ranger pets? Hi guys, quick question before I buy. Do rangers have pets that attack like hunters in WoW and are there any other pet classes? Thanks for your time.
My device gets so hot that I think it's gonna overheat or blow up lol. But I have to plug it in a lot to keep playing, but I can't stop playing so it gets even hotter. P.S. What are the different BIG areas in Arcadian Forest? So far all I've found is Greenmount which is a totally different place all together. And how do I get to the whispering islands? I can't seem to get to any other place besides the Arcadian Forest...
My iPad 2 got a little warm playing the game, warmer than doing most activities. As far as battery drain goes, I did get my first ever battery warning yesterday (I charge every night). However, I'm not sure if that was because I was spending a lot of time in the game yesterday or if the game was causing greater than average battery drain.
Is there any way to switch servers? Im on the Wyrm server and there's like nobody and nothing... the auction house is empty and I'm already level 13, don't want to have to redo everything
Battery life on ipad 2 not so bad I started the game at 100% aftrr 2.5 hours of playing at mid brightness, 4 bar volume on wifi ipad2 went down to 87% though ymmv. Love this game, on my iphone 4 little cumbersome due to screen space, but on ipad 2 its wow, havent experienced lag yet. Definitely want to Join the Touch Arcade Guild as well, character there is MarikaKiarra elf ranger, only level 7.
hey, i was wondering if anybody knows what the best class/speciality is? ive started a warrior, but was kind wondering if i should switch classes or choose one or the other speciality before i get to deep into the game.
oh yeah, since the current toucharcade guild is full, should we start a new one or something for the rest of the people who cant join now?
hmm, I wonder. I was kinda worried when nothing like an account code was bundled with the games download from the store. I don't think gameloft has any way of knowing your itunes UID, its account sign in proccess is seperate and unrelated. It kinda sucks to see people hacking speed and such allready, I hope gameloft is prepared to combat the hackers in quick manner or you are gonna see the game tank from a community of invulnerable players and a broken economy of money hacks.
60, unknown. Not that anyone has discovered yet (though there are areas/quests that i have heard that require groups to complete. Rumours though, I havent seen this first hand)
There are speed buffs you can buy from merchants, as well as class specific buffs to increase speed. Add latency to the mix and its easy to confuse it with hacking.
now im no fan of gameloft ripoffs. not because they are blatant ripoffs but because they always lack a certain amount of soul to make they compelling enough to play. just my opinion ofc. however, the feel of this game, barring the obvious comparrisons to wow are that its a game that will keep you comming back. its groundbreaking for an ios game and as such is to be applauded. its not perfect, there are a few bugs but its a still a great start and i hope paves the way for more companies to take the plunge. i hope dungeons are included at some later stage, if they are not already.
Are you sure dude ? Because according to your info you can roughly play about 18 hrs. How about iphone 4 battery drain ?
Don't worry, in about 3 months, when their default subscription will expire, there's nothing that they can do. They cannot user their own accounts to buy subscription if they didn't buy the game before and to hack that it would mean to hack Gameloft's servers... and I pretty much doubt that(there were people that tried that on that Asphalt Audi RS3 contest, but they were caught immediately).
