I'm new to the game and wondering how I remove the chat channel at the bottom of the display? Or at least get out of global so I don't have to see constant random topics.
I'd like to know this too. Also how does someone join the TA guild? Total MMO noob over here so I don't really know how to play am MMO aside from going through the quests single player style.
It's been over a year since I quit so I don't know if this still applies, but you should be able to find a mute button in the chat that lets you select which specific channels (ie. global, local) you want to mute and language filters you want to set. The TA guild unfortunately disbanded over two years ago. You can still find an overabundance of guilds in O&C, but most of them only recruit max-level players for dungeon runs and PvP. This honestly isn't the best introduction to the MMORPG genre, because most people solo to 60, parties are a rarity, and high-level players are generally asses to "noobs", preferring to grief-kill lower-level players rather than help them. It doesn't help that apparently 90% of players right now exploit the many hacks that are available and Gameloft doesn't/can't do anything to stop it.
In the list of messages, hold your finger down on the bit that says "GLOBAL" at the beginning. I think that shuts that one up.
thats sad. I tought the guild still ran which is why I bought this on a .99 sale. It really was disappointing.
I got this game at launch and never played for over a month at a time. Just started a mili monk so we'll see how that goes. At the beginning of the year I was in a really good guild but it seems most of the members are no longer active so I'm looking for a new one for my monk. As for exploits and hacks i havent seen any but maybe I just haven't been at a high enough lvl. If its been a year since you've played maybe most have been addressed. I know my account has never been compromised unlike when I played WoW.
If I can get five of you to raise your hand, I'll start a new TA guild, but there has to be some sort of demand. I'm on tear coast server, by the way.
I'm on Arcadia I think. Not sure if that prevents us from joining the same guild, but I'll bite if there are enough others.
