Two level 29's ganking in a lv 23 zone. That's pathetic. And a dumb mob finished me off making me lose 35 silver
@Doubleduoasx It depends on the armor of the enemy. i normally hit 1691. This skill is a must if you are playing a guardian as it has 5 sec stun which is enough to prepare Mages and Rangers for breakfast and lunch respectively. Charge>Shield Slap>Smashing Blow>ankle slash>pounding = GOD
I've been playing this game nearly since day one and until several days ago it's been nothing but awesome but uh, it's doing everything to annoy me now. PvP is awesome. By which I mean I love being randomly shot from a distance, in the back, by someone 5 levels above me. Keep it classy, guys! The grinding. I'm level 40, on the desert and for the last 3 days I've been going back and forth, doing the daily and repetative quests, just to advance a level. No main story line is starting to be noticable. God of Death quest had cost me about 10 gold coins in deaths, before I realized it's glitchy and unwinnable for a sorceress, who gets killed in one hit by 10 skeletons stacked on one spot. The animals! I was hyped, thinking you'll be able to evolve it but they really don't do a thing except for looking cute. But hey, except for that, it's a great game. Seriously, it's my first MMORPG and I'm addicted. The world is vast, the graphics are amazing (it's hard to believe it's an iPhone game), there are plenty of quests, the evolution of a character is custom - YOU are in charge of what sort of character you want to be. It's pure fun.
Pvp is not awesome, don't be sarcastic with me. You can also grind by killing creatures, you don't only have to do the dailies. There's not supposed to be a main story line. There are usually individual story lines for every quest, but they usually never link up to a main story line. Mail your money to an alt, so you don't lose 10 gold. It's not glitchy, it's probably just hard. It's called a mage. You should have picked a better class. This is not POKEMON. They do not look cute. It is your first mmorpg, welcome to the club. I don't feel in charge of my character. It's pure.
Nah, I'm just trolling, great game, have fun. I'm so mad. I keep dying . All these DAAAAAAAANG ? marks killing me.....
Don't worry about one person's post. You make some great points. The need for grinding really picks up in the desert, and gets a bit tedious, but Gameloft has announced plans to add quests to that and the next area in the near future. The God of Death quest is bugged. The quest item is supposed to dismiss the bodyguard skeletons, but it does not. You can still complete the quest by exploiting the different leash lengths of the mobs. Target and attack the guy you have to kill, then run/jump down to the bottom floor of the tower. He will follow you, but the skeletons will all turn back at the bottom of the stairs. As for pets, people are saying that since they have a level, health, etc. Gameloft must be planning to make them trainable and get them involved in combat. I'm not sure that's solid logic, but it's an interesting thought.
Honestly, does anyone know which NPC in the swamp gives the chest piece of the swamp spider armor set for rangers? I feel like I've been going around forever looking for quests and I have every piece (head, shoulders, etc.) except the chest. EDIT: Found it. It's given by the ghost guy on the shore opposite of Port Verecy.
Guardian vs. guardian battles are so long.... It's the same rotation.. it is HONESTLY just who gets the most crits, especially with pounding glow.
Try divine monk vs divine monk. Those fights can literally last for hours since both can replenish their health and mana with skills. But what would you expect? Guardians are focused on survivability and divine monks on healing, neither focus on damage.
I feel so bad in pvp zones... I mean, when I'm doing quests in the pvp zone I seriously have to start fights if I see anyone in my way. Especially if they're archers. You don't want them to go into sneak and get an upperhand. I have tried just ignoring people, but for some reason, if I'm close to you, it urks you to attack me?? I mean seriously. Just ignore people. I have no problem with people attacking me if they're +2 levels or -2 levels and in between . I think that justifies a fair pvp match because if it's +3, they usually will win, and they are red meaning they are not meant to be "around" your level. (real ex.)I went into the pvp zone and this kid said "sup" I said "nm". He goes into sneak mode. Game on.
Unfortunately it is problem that you attack first as well... I am an archer and I really try to ignore everyone around me but as you said, I am a target because I am sure others are worried that if they don't get me first I will snipe them later. It is a vicious cycle and I can't wait for Gameloft to fix it so we can quest in peace OR PVP - I don't like losing my time to people who just sit around ganking. For example - I waited forever to get the Orlande quest and then when we got all the way to the cave, a level "?" ganked me... i just gave up the quest. This was a good example of two problems right now - too many people fighting for escort quests along with no choice in PVP.
I just answered this and my internet crashed I don't consider it ganking unless its +3 levels.. as I've said before. Even then you can still run away and make it. I promise you, they WILL follow you. Don't even turn around, just keep autorun on. I swear to you, two level 29's ganked me and I ran away for well over 5 minutes. I know this because right before they got me I used vitality shout and I renewed it while they were chasing me. Got to a dead end, and they had their way with me. That's dedication. I actually instigate more fights with lv 26's than anything. I usually win . This is because there is not really a huge level gap from 24-26, and the first hit, especially when they are archers and they can't use sneak, is huge. Even when people are in my way, I won't attack if their anything lower than a level I'm in, so for me that would be 23. Also, is there anymore pvp zones. I've only found one. The first pvp zone in the swamps.
There's one in each zone after that. The next - Whispering Islands - is the worst as it has you travel through it many many times and do quite many quests in the area. The one after that in the Great Desert isn't that bad as it's in a remote location with just a few quests in it.
yep, the 2nd PvP zone is definitely the worst. It's called Deva Square. Leveled upto 32 in a few days and now that i'm here, took me 2-3 days to reach level 33 because of player killers, griefers and ganking.
Vega Square actually, but yeah it's where 95% of the griefers hang out, and there are a ton of quests there, including a daily.
^ yeah this one. A friend lost interest in the game when she reached the zone and always got player killed, hence couldn't do quests, can't level up, can't progress.
It's such a cool environment, and would be an awesome place to pvp, but when you've got lvl 50s wrecking everyone they see, the whole deal's ruined...
Guardian Vs Guardian You are wrong. The one with greater block, dodge, and parry skills. Also, dodge plays the major factor in the fight. If your dodge level is high enough, the pounding glow will miss every time your enemy uses it. So my point is critical damage is not that important for the guardian....
