I know the feeling. Rogue was my favourite class in WoW. Stealth in OC isn't that different once you get used to the fact you need a safe place to re-hide every once in a while, plus the Smoke Bomb at lv30ish really helps. It's like Vanish in WoW. In the beginning (rank 1) sneaking seems like a chore but once you gain a few ranks it'll get easier and once you learn the thing it becomes a second nature.
Is there a way to add stat points to my character? I'm a level 8 and can't figure out how to do it, or if there even is a way.
This is actually my favourite aspect of the Ranger class. Having to judge the distance you can cover in stealth in order to be able to hide and re-stealth only increases the skill (something auto-attack MMOs often require little of) required to use it effectively. On another subject, for those of you still perched on the precarious fence, one thing that surprised me pleasantly with Order & Chaos is the writing. Yes, seriously I had expected it to be seriously lacking, and while there is little to no overarching main plot, and the campaign world is sorely lacking in detail and fluff, the actual dialogues and quest descriptions are often nice, sometimes bordering on very good. There are surprising amounts of pathos and passion in the desires and wants of the NPCs, and many quests are pleasantly comical, others even actually a tiny bit touching (if only the tiniest bit) in their tragedy. For someone like me, who usually find MMORPGs with mechanisms similar to WoW to be one of the worst game genres, the writing if the second thing that will keep me coming back to Order & Chaos for some time, with the unique mobile accessibility being the first reason. (The third being the classes. There may only be four of them, but the talent tress are nice and varied, and I like the less than common option of playing a warrior monk, as well as the versatile Ranger class.)
updates Anyone know when Gameloft is planning to update the game, adding mounts, dungeons, etc.? I know they ran a maintenance update lastnight, which is great because it shows that they really do plan to keep this game up to date, but I am getting anxious for some dungeons. Having them or not having them could make or break this game.
Yea Shank, there is, open your menu and go to spells tab, tap on talents and you get to choose from there. Hope this helps. Add me, my main's name is Tonyhorton, Arkadian Forest server.
The funniest thing right now is how badly crafting is messed up. Getting a recipe for your profession can be really difficult. At 38, I have seen one recipe I cant use in normal play, and several recipes I cant use in chest farming. Zero recipes found I can use. Recipes are BOP, so I have no recipes I can make except trainer, and those arent good. Now if you get a recipe you can use, apparently you also need one or more rare drops from wandering, occassional spawn elites to actually make the item. If you get that, you then have a bound blue item. It hardly seems worth it with the trouble people are having. Right now, there isnt clear info on where the elite is or how often it spawns in each zone, and once there is such info, I'm sure it will be camped. If you are willing to do all that for a blue, you can "upgrade" it to purple by purchasing a rune with money from an in game vendor. Yup, to get a purple item -- which will be obsolete in a bit -- you need to pay. So to craft a purple its 3 steps, all required: (1) chest farm & pray for a pattern; (2) needle in haystack hunt for a special elite; and (3) pay money. So funny how this combines real in game work with paying money, and thus is likely to appeal to no one. People that like to pay want shortcuts. People that want to work for it, dont want to pay. Purples are occassionally dropping in game. Last I checked there were two screens of blues and 2 purple items with level requirements of about 25 and 40, both priced at about 4x what I have as a level 38.
The writing is well done, particularly for anything we've seen on iOS, but good quality stuff for any MMO. Of course, since the quests they're associated with could have been created by ticking off some flags on cut & paste code for NPCs and monsters in very short order, my conspiratorial side wondered if they didn't come up with all this premium flavor text by offering free red bulls to unoccupied game masters at a fantasy con somewhere
No, I mean my character attributes like strength, stamina, armor, agility, and wisdom. Maybe I'm just missing something, but I can't find any way to add to those.
That's because you don't, they're automatically allocated depending on class. Your only choice is in deciding on talents and gear.
The only way to add stat points are through equipment attributes , talent skills and stat scrolls . Other than that they cannot be changed .
Yes, when you reset your talents, all your talented skills get reset but your innate skills do not get reset. It saves you a little bit of gold but it's not a big deal because gold is easy to come by later as you level up.
They are aesthetically pleasing and fun to kill... They probably give you the worms and spores you need for the repeatable quest too.
Not currently. One of you will have to start a new character on the other's server, or you could just wait and hope they make server switching possible, but there's no word that they are planning that, it's just something people are hoping for.
