1. it's not simple. 2. accomplish? games are for fun yo. 3. people who want an mmo, want something they can play for a long time, in a game of this scale, that means constant bug fixes, and additional content. the scope of something like this cannot compare to a regular 6.99 game. i voted subscription because i want quality, and because i'm not cheap.
The results of the poll are very clear. Not only did a flat payment get the most votes, it also got the majority vote, meaning more than half the poeple voted for it. I just hope gameloft will consider this
whoever says that a flatrate cant work is wrong.. have you ever played guildwars... thats one of the best mmo's and it uses a flatrate, it does have an item shop but only for cosmetic things such as costumes that go over your armor... so a flatrate could work
The silly thing about consumer polls is that customers are going to vote for the cheapest but business is developing for profit so there are opposing economic interests. I'm sure if we altered the poll everyone would vote for this to be free with no fees too. I'm frugal too, but just saying...
True, but then they have to weigh how many people will turn down the other options. IOW, we've seen a lot of people say no to the subscription method, which means that that population might not buy the game if given the subscription method, therefore, it might still be more profitable to consider the flat-rate due to it's mass appeal. Also, people aren't stupid (most aren't), they'd know that Gameloft wouldn't update O&C if it was free. So for the best interests of both parties, I believe most would still vote flat rate. That would be the most beneficial and mature option.
