Wow, that looks freaking amazing, and on a mobile platform. Just amazing how far we have come. Makes PL look like atari 2600 in terms of a MMO. I can't wait.
Haha I'm just imagining... Guys at PL hunkered over their computers signing in as different YouTube accounts to dislike and comment on it I dont get why people hate on gameloft so much. Gameloft is being smart. Their taking advantage of all the other developers not bothering with IOS. So it's the other developers fault, if their not gonna make their games for it someone else will.
Okay, there is definetely a rotating skill wheel on the left bottom corner. Check out 0:40. The woman archer has obvious skills next to the ones she's using and when she slides her finger on them, they come out! Sweet!
My concern is cOnnecting via wifi-Internet. Also skill balances. I remember dungeon hunter 2 I dropped it due to over powered normal attacks and under powered skill damages
So I did a lot of thinking on this all day and here are my final thoughts based on the videos: This game will be a modified Pocket Legends: 1. People will all gather in a town (or respective towns based on faction). 2. You can pvp in town, trade, form groups, chat and show off your toon. 3. Once a group is formed, you'll then enter your own instance, like PL. This game will release @ $6.99 with no monthly fee because: 1. Like Pocket Legends, there isn't a huge amount of server maintenance. 2. They will simply charge for newly added areas/expansions just like PL. 3. They won't want Apple getting 30% of their monthly dues. There will be no raids and groups will be limited to 3-4 people: 1. Gameloft doesn't have a room full of servers dedicated to this game. 2. Limited Ram in idevices will prevent 15+ toons on screen, particle effects from each one, giant boss(es) and scenery effects without HUGE latency issues. 3. They're using existing engine technology, which currently limits the genre type to about 4 people in a group. (example: Dungeon Hunter 2) Wi-fi will be required to play this game because: 1. All multiplayer Gameloft games currently require wi-fi. 2. Gameloft Live requires a wi-fi connection (See my DH2 pic below on 3G) Again these are just my final thoughts on what will come to be and regardless I will be buying this game the very second it's released, so no worries!!!
I think all but your first point are definite possibilities. The last two are likely, especially the need for wifi.
I'm not sure if anyone has posted the link to gamelofts new trailer for order & chaos, it still does not say anything about the release. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mamkauXJZI
Looking forward to this. Got to admit, hadn't checked on it much until the last couple of days and intrigued for sure.
It will be available on 3G, and it actually works pretty fine over 3G. And it will a Open-World, not gathering in towns and then starting a raid. it's pretty cool for a mobile game. Also, no raids for now.
http://onlinegames-forum.gameloft.com/index.php?c=5 What is the difference between o&c online facebook game and o&c onlie iphone game? This is the official forum?
Where'd you hear that? Because if that's true, I'm gonna be overjoyed. I love PL and all, but it's not quite open world enough...
