I'm sorry but the likelihood of apple adding a USB port is next to never. The iPhone is for casual gaming first off. Would you really wanna play a game where your using a keyboard and mouse on a 3.5inch screen? I mean that's what a computer is for. And apple does support their Bluetooth keyboard on IOS devices

i played wow for a couple of years, and I remember that it seemed like there was an unlimited amont of options/gear/items. In wow, you could take two characters , both the same level and class, but one could be much much better than the other. I think gameloft need to create the same amount of complexity in this game.

To those saying that 2gb won't be enough to make a great game,
Look at pocket legends, that's a 55MB! game, and it's big, really big, a lot of zones, weapons, armor, spells etc etc.

A lot of things are reused and there is a limited number of spells etc, but still, it's just a tiny tiny 55mb.
    Imagine 2gb! :)

And also, why do you need a mouse to make a good mmorpg?
Before The analog stick om consoles everyone wasn't complaining about the dpad, and before the touch interface everyone wasn't complaining about the abscense of it.

The mouse isnt needed if you got touch and make a good interface, I'd rather have touch than a mouse as long as it's a good interface.

FPS games on iOs are really excellent using the touch interface/swipe routine.
Touch controls won't be any less excellent for this game. Touch > Mouse.

I probably should have specified Ipad when I was wishing aloud for USB ports.

It would be silly on the iphone.

But if as you say the iphone is for casual gaming, then why release a MMORPG on it in the first place?

    actually, it generally is
    when isn't it?
its like saying you would rather point at something than go and touch it
admit it, if the touch screen had been invented before the mouse, and WOW had been made with it, you would find the concept of a mouse to be ridiculous

    Correction:

    Keyboard + mouse > Touchscreen = Controller
(Controllers are good for some games, touchscreens for others. The combination of keyboard and mouse works almost anywhere.)

but where ever the touchscreen and controller work, they far surpass the mouse and keyboard. they kinda work okayish for everything, but never excel

    EDIT:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC533LL/B
FYI: they already have keyboards for the ipad

    Q: When isn't it?
    A: In every instance.

The mouse is much more accurate than touch controls.

But the point on the mouse is smaller than your fingertip, therefore it will be more precise.

It happens to me all the time. I go to press something and it doesn't register. A mouse point would go right to the spot.

Also, you cant see the exact spot where you press when you press it, because the finger doing the pressing is IN THE WAY and blocking your view!

A mouse is INFINITELY more precise than a thick fingertip.

Give me an example where both the controller and the touchscreen surpass the mouse and keyboard please?

Not only that, a mouse has more buttons. You can do more than just a left click. You can right click, scroll, scroll weel click and some mice even have special button.

Ok just to give my own thoughts to this argument, If you guys want a mouse and keyboard get a computer? Theirs a reason we have computers, and a reason we have phones. Phones/iPad/iPhone aren't meant to be exact tools for serious production and gaming. Their mobile, if your adding a mouse and keyboard to them it kinda ruins the point don't you think? That's what a COMPUTER is for.

IOS games thus far arent meant to be extremely in depth complicated games that your gonna spend hours and hours on over a console or computer. Their meant for when your mobile and you don't have the convenience of either of those. Their not meant to replace. The whole point of iOS devices is to be a mobile light productivity, and casual gaming tool. Just to get this point in again(their not meant to replace a computer with mouse, keyboard, and superior processing power).

Now for the people begging for a complex wow replacement... It's not gonna happen, I can guarantee this game isn't gonna provide the complex and emerging environment of computer mmorpg. iOS devices are not the market for that. It's going to be a mobile mmorpg that fits the limitations of the platform. Gameloft isnt aiming to replace wow, their hoping to somewhat recreation the experience on a mobile level. We can't have 40+ spells/macros available onscreen, their simply isn't enough screen space. And as far as content goes, gameloft can only do so much for a low price. The fact is their isn't enough iOS gamers that are gonna spend 20 or so dollars on a mmorpg for their phone. I mean look at all the people freaking put about apps that are 6.99, and not to mention all the complaints about this game possibly being subscription based.

I'm just saying don't be too mad when you realize that this game you've been psyched over for the past month comes out and you realize it's not nearly as much as you expected. Your putting too much expectations on this by comparing this to WoW and wanting all the features WoW has.

    2. Preference

If you guys feel the need to "correct" me, then you need to get a life.

    Lol agree x2.

I like how the second anybody shows the slightest amount of an opinion, 10 people jump up to suppress it.

Anyways he's right, don't expect a 800 hour MMORPG like WoW. I used to play WoW quite a bit and I know that the full game is ridiculously vast. Gameloft may be good, but they'll never be Blizzard good, so just be happy that we get a MOBILE (when I all caps, bold and underline, you know it's srs bsns) experience that somewhat resembles WoW. Despite everything, I am extremely excited for this and can't wait to get my hands on it.

Ahaha I was slight expecting to get jumped at for saying all that. But I mean I think it's the truth. Your looking at the wrong game if your arguing that they need to make a keyboard and mouse compatible with your iPhone to play it. Ruins the whole point of a MOBILE game. Not too mention how many people are gonna spend money on a mouse and keyboard to play a $9.99 tops iPhone game?
