I have the feeling this game won't be out soon. People have been asking very simple questions on gameloft's youtube channel (what is the max level for instance), and Gameloft couldn't (didn't want to?) answer any of them. And when you think about it, an MMO needs so much more work than the typical Gameloft game. It also requires a lot of testing which will delay even more the release. I can't wait for the game to come out, but I have become a bit pessimistic about the release date.
Thanks. I hope to see you amongst us at some point. I completely agree with you, but we have to start from somewhere, right? I am well aware of the fact that the upcoming months (or however long it turns out to be) will be a bit slow, but there is nothing much we can do about it unfortunately. So for now we'll get what we can and take it from there, one step at a time.
I think the idea of having an in-game guild is fantastic, and it gives players an excellent opportunity to find groups for questing, running instances, etc... I do agree with the notion that it's really early to make a solid decision, but honestly we've all been talking about it for a while now, and there's a ton of good excuses to be a part of a guild. We should just wait it out, and see what the game has to offer, like it's been said, guilds may not even be a part of the game. At any rate, I can't wait to see what the game actually has, hopefully we'll all be in for a surprise.
Well handled sir! And thanks a bunch for the effort in pulling us all together and getting us hyped up! Hope to see you in game someday hopefully soon!
Thanks, I hope to see you there more often Btw is there anyone who knows a thing or two about css coding to optimize sites for iDevices? I was wondering if there is a code that will make the website only show a certain part of the website. For example, if you go on my website it will show the background image and black borders, which look fine on a computer but weird (and unnecessary on the iDevices. However, if you double click it zooms in on the actual box in the middle. Is there a way to make it automatically do that on start up? (sorry I have like 0 understanding of coding, let alone iDevice optimization of websites) Edit: to all the naysayers you can view other Order&Chaos news here
Good to know, thanks for the insight. It's something to think about and plan for. I'm eager to learn more about this game as release approaches, it should start getting interesting the closer we step toward a real release date.
@Elfche, welcome to the TA boards. I saw your post on facebook and you're overly proud of yourself boasting "We're the first ever guild for this game". You really seem to offer it as a bragging point, since you pasted it all over Gameloft's facebook page, but how do you know others haven't already started their own guilds in preparation for the upcoming game and just haven't bragged about it? Personally, I've already started putting something together as well with some others, but don't feel we need to brag about it or claim to be the first. I understand you're excited for the anticipation of a game as we all are, but there's no known release date. To claim to the first at something in a game that's not even out yet, is pretty mute, don't you think? Not trying to hate as we're hoping for some healthy competition as a guild already under way, I just didn't feel the need to brag or claim to be the first when the game isn't even out yet, realizing the "first" guild in the game will be the first person to actually establish one in the live game. Additionally, if someone else grabs your guild name before you do when it goes live, you've already set yourself up for failure, right? Just some food for thought. Good luck to you and again welcome to the TA!
Thanks, People talking about making a guild and actually putting in the work to get a website, set it up, basically put in the initial work, are two different things (at least in my opinion). Overly proud is a big exaggerated, selling point... maybe... but whatever floats your boat. There is a saying - if nobody knows about it, then it doesn't exist. I actually have factual proof that there is at least some movement going and some efforts to start something. As far as someone stealing the guild name, I won't be surprised, but I have some back up names in mind (still midnight related; and I can always change the domain etc.) Registering a guild ingame is just a formality. Honestly, the first registered guild could be by someone who is alone and just ditches the game 2 days later for all we know. As for you (and your friends) thinking about making a guild, that's freakin' awesome! I am glad more & more people are getting hyped up about the game and getting ready to do their thing. The more the better. I sure hope that there are a lot more people out there doing the same, I just decided to publicize it & I don't see anything wrong with that. Happy gaming!
Well well well Mr. Elfche, looks like I was wrong. I would like to formally apologize and congratulate you on your website! Edit - Don't want to double post so... N.O.V.A: Elite was announced way after Order and Chaos and they're getting more news than us... Come on Gameloft, we're losing faith in you.
Very true, but simply having a guild website doesn't make any game guild better, more official or the first (as you proclaimed) over any others. Especially when a game's still in development. Like many others, our website's already started as well, but put on hold until we learn some "factual proof" about the game before proceeding and announcing it publicly. In the end, to each their own as no one's right or wrong here, but when someone says they're the first of everyone to do something, it's considered boasting, which is what stemmed my comments. You're website seeming more dedicated to that particular name was my only reason for mentioning that and I'm aware of how sub-domains work. We're in the same situation ready with sub-domain back up's just in case. Nice planning on your part and you have a good attituide. I think you picked a really cool guild name. Like you, I'm stoked people are excited about this release and it's possibilities. I just hope it's everything we want it to be...
@Creepshow Too true. Obviously those are all steps of progression. As far as first, you can argue what that means. I guess it just rubbed you the wrong way, which was not the intend. Thanks. I actually just took it over from my WoW guild. I hope everything works out for all of us. And as far as your info, damn it you're right! WE NEEDZ MOAAR INFO!
Do you guys not read the comments? I already posted a picture proof of gameloft telling me there will be guilds:
How 'bout a more beasty race, gameloft? I'm not so much into playing things that are so boringly human in design :V
I don't see the logic behind people saying "I don't think this game will be out soon, because mmorpgs take a lot more work then single player game" Who said they didn't start working on this game 2 years ago? If they do indeed have the marketing strategy that we've seen so far, where they announce a game a maximum of two months prior to release then it might be out soon, it just means that they worked on it for a long time. You do know that 2 months prior to release they are pretty much donevwith the game, it just tweaking, distributing and similar things left. I would be thrilled if it came out before the summer, early June perhaps.
