Anyone else getting a massive frame rate drop in crowded areas? Not necessarily crowded but I've noticed when a lot of mobs are on screen I get like 10 fps.
I think no one is answering you because you're a Cardinals Fan hahahaha just kidding. I'm sure it goes across the whole account (your game center one)
Well, I just dropped the $10. I'm sure my wife will give me hell, since already bought Saint's Row 4 and Red Dead on the playstation anniversary sale and we only budget $10 month for me to spend on games. Lets just call it taking one for the team...lol. So, here's how it panned out. After buying the one extra character slot initially with the starting gems, and then purchasing the fledgling pack, and the nicks investment bundle...I have 215 gems. They can be spent on any character. I still can't start my guild though damnit. I'm HERO lvl 2 now, which is also account wide. It's 300 gems to buy hero lvl 3, with the investment pack I have to wait 9 days until I have enough to charter a guild. As far as the other bonuses, all characters got 2 emails with gold for hero lvl 1 and 2 rewards. Only the character who bought the fledgling pack got the items from it...so be sure to use the character you intend to receive them. (the bag space expansions are going to be especially nice)
So I finally started playing today on the "Hallow" server. So far, so good. It's pretty much the same as the first O&C with a new facelift. It's really pretty. Of course, there are a ton of things going on that I don't understand yet, but I'm only like level 5-6 right now. My only complaint right now is every once in awhile you get a spurt of people wanting to duel which some get annoying following you around bugging. I'm gonna stick with it though. It's been pretty entertaining this far. Oh, did anybody get the loot for linking your FB or email to Gamelofts website prior to the release?
You rock man! Thanks for TOFTT. Maybe your wife and my wife can bitch at each other about us because I'm about to drop a 5 spot for now. Sadly I don't think that the 10 you get a day count towards your HeRO. Maybe you can confirm that tomorrow.
Also, you get 5 "Nick's Magic Token" with the fledgling pack (on one character) and you may think you can expand your bag space 5 times with that, since the first expansion is 1 token. WRONG! After the first 8 slot expansion, the price for the next one is 5 tokens, of which you now have 4.
No, but lvl 3 hero costs 300 gems in the store. Since I've got 215 now, and I'll get 10 per day, I can purchase lvl 3 in 9 days. Unless I'm missing something about how all this works.
Ohhhhhhhh I see what you're saying. I hope you're right. We'll see in the morrow then. I want to say I played a game with this sort of schematic and it was like I described where it only counts toward "purchased" gems. We'll see though. I hope I'm wrong
Wait...so you're saying making purchases is directly responsible for your hero rank? I though it was just another gem store item. Does it go back down once you've raised it up?
If that's the case, this might break the game for me. I've also noticed you can't send mail in game, so no sending your alt characters items. That's crap.
What can you mail then? I know there are mailboxes in every town and a message system but havent tried sending anything.
You can't send anything as far as I can tell. It's just for receiving messages and items from the store/game.
Late to the party boys and girls. Obviously there will be a TA guild... But what server is everyone on?
Tried it last night. It's a really pretty looking game but wow, it does not feel like it is optimized for IOS. The interface and controls are just plain annoying. Often trying to click on a quest character or item turns into an exercise in frustration, especially when the autoselect function sends you off across the map for a different target for whatever reason. As an MMO, the gameplay and game design are pretty subpar. The stages are decent looking, but they are also unnecessarily big and empty, meaning a lot of running. For anyone who has played an IOS MMO such as Dawn of the Immortals, the auto run feature in this game is far less intuitive. You can't really autorun long distances as the quest tracker will often lead you into walls, and it needs to be reset fairly often. I've played a lot of MMOs, and this is probably the least fun I've had during the early stages of one. I expect to grow tired of an MMO over time, not start off frustrated and bored. There are limits to how often you can do certain types of quests and crafting in a day. There are also various types of IAP, which are pretty par for the course. Overall, it's just not very exciting. There isn't anything new to the game, and while it is aesthetically appealing, the game itself is lackluster in every other aspect I experienced.
I never tap stuff in the background, I just use the speak button or pickup button. Iv actually found the controls to be nice. About the game design being subpar, I would actually say its par. MEaning its pretty much exactly how mmos are, and I do feel mmo is a stale genre. But really It feels exactly like when I played ESO, WoW trial, FF14 etc. All the same stuff and I think it works as well as those games.
