If that's the choice I guess many of us would just prefer a longer game with less "polish".

    Thanks

    Dear Big Cave,

Wanted to thank you for the game. It's fantastic. I was initially a little critical of the graphics, especially the contrast, because it's sometimes hard to see except under highest brightness or definitely indoors. But the more I played the more impressed I became. All the little details, the lighting and smoke/fog, pieces of scenery breaking apart and crumbling. The sparks from the gears when you go down shaft on the elevator platform, and the rocks falling by and sometimes on to the platform and breaking. All the little details really impressed me, especially because I'm used to seeing much cruder graphics on the iPad. The graphics and atmosphere really took me right back to Torchlight or Diablo 2, and that's a good thing (never mind all the console snobs)! Especially on an iPad.

Limited eq slots was something I'd love to see a sequel (and yes a sequel is an insta-buy, thank you) address. But even then the weapons and the shields had enough variety amongst themselves to go a long way towards making up for it. Weapon speed, stat bonuses, etc., just awesome. Would love to have more, obviously, and uniques, set items, all the stuff that we've come to expect thanks to Blizzard. But what you had in the game worked excellent.

I'm just before the last fight, and the game has been a tad short, yes, but that's because I'm enjoying it so thoroughly. Good balance, could be a tad harder. Hardcore or New Game+ mode would be awesome, with higher levels, better eq, blah blah, definitely. Skills are neat, well executed, love being able to upgrade everything, even weapons and potions.

Music, sounds, and atmosphere were well done. Voice acting was top notch! Really enjoyed the different accents for the different warchiefs, presumably from different clans in different parts of the world. Really good voice acting, except the Dark One - pretty undewhelming on him. He sounded lke a ten year old trying to sound like a cartoon bad guy playing with his action figures, ugh.

Excellent value for price, glad IAPs can basically be ignored. Neat world, neat concept to make the orc the hero.

Anyway, really really enjoying this game. It is far more than I've come to expect from iOS dungeon crawlers in so many ways. Really scratched that itch for me, thank you. Please, please be encouraged to churn out a sequel ASAP.

    Awesome job.

P.S. No problems with the touch controls whatsoever, FWIW. Looking forward to auto-run.

The IAP's aren't a necessity in this game. They are just a quick way to get ahead. I think this particular game actually works better without a D-pad.

I'm about 3-4 hours into the game, and I can't tell how close I am to end, so I can't speak to the overall length of the game. I think in general, in an ideal world, instead of a 5 hour game for $2.99, most people would prefer a 10 hour game for $5.99. BUT, the $5.99 price point would be prohibitive for many buyers, and many would still say 10 hours is too short for that price (compared to something like The Bard's Tale, which was a PC port at 20-25 hours). Plus I think the Dev would sell a lot less than half at double the price and make less money overall.

In terms of the controls, I still can't get the circle thing to work. Overall I definitely miss-touch at times, more so on the iPhone, and I can't consider a control scheme as good if it doesn't do what I'm trying to tell it to. On the iPad, I do find it works better, but it still mis-steps a decent amount, and I still can't do the circle motion (grrr!)

On the iPhone/iPad point, the could save is PERFECT. Bravo. I really wish more developers would do this.

Overall, even with its issues, I would definitely recommend this game to any fan of the genre. The gameplay is fun (most important, isn't it?), the loot/upgrade system works, the graphics and sounds are good, and the story is interesting.

    Worth a buy!

How many acts? / character levels please?

I am hoping for advice please. I feel like I am making good progress and wondering how to manage ny gear.

Can someone please advise on how many acts are in this game ? I'm on level 16 too; how many character levels? Im at the magmar fortress, first chapter and want to consider purchasing vs. upgrading in relation to how much longer I have in the game please.

    Any information much appreciated please!

    Thanks in advance!

  11. Hey cabdog!

There are 5 Acts total. Level 30 is the cap.

Loot loot loot all you find, you will find some nice weapons laying around in chests and such. Upgrade your Skills and use them often!

Hope this helps. Thanks for playing :)

    Hey Ryan,

    Please Apple release it damnit!

So I updated the game to the version with the "bat-fix". Not that I had had any trouble, but usually it's better to upgrade. In this case, it wasn't such a good idea!

    All game progress was lost.

    All purchased coins were lost.

    Thanks a lot - NOT >:-(

  19. hey jacob.. that shouldn't happen :( save games shouldn't be reset least of all your gold ( it doesn't reset even if you restart the campaign ).

that said, check for a PM from me.

for others reading this, it might be best to exit to the main menu, close ORC completely and then update. That should avoid any problems with iCloud syncing.

if anyone is still having crash problems AFTER updating to 1.1, please PM me

The game is great , one of the few IOS games with touch cntrols ,that actually work and feel unique like "crazy hedgy" .
Fantastic atmosphere , great dark fantasy themes , feels to me like a top down "dark souls"-like game . Graphics are amazing and so is the music , top notch really . By far the best dungeon game i've played on ios , in a league of its own , IMO.
