Hey everyone, Colored items are considered "rare". You will find these items as you explore. It is likely you may see a weaker weapon that costs more in the Vendor, and this is because rare items cost and sell for more. As you progress further in the game, you will see that most rare items have "perks". These add to your base character stats. The Vendor buy list is randomized. We can tweak this going forward if it is necessary. I hope this helps! Ryan
Hi Ryan, thanks for the quick response. So those perks, if there are any, will show up in the item description? I'm thrown by the other TA users account. Thanks!
Thoughts Hi, just completed the game for the first time and wanted to share my thoughts with you all. First of all the graphics are fantastic for both the dungeons and the characters/ mobs. The game has a very Warcraft like edge to it which is an extra bonus for me as I love that series. The combat is slick and I like how they've gone for a point and click approach rather than virtual sticks. The gesture system however seems to stop working from time to time and I found myself dying when I really needed my health potion gesture to work which was very frustrating. There is also plenty of abilities to play with and a few extra gesture slots would be great as only four does feel a bit limited at times. I felt the character customisation was a bit lacking in comparison to games like dungeon hunter, perhaps some other weaponry such as bows and spears would have been a decent addition. I also feel some extra armour sets to customise the look of your character a bit more would have been very welcome. Overall the game was a tad short and the story was very cliche but it only cost £2 so I can't complain on that front. A harder difficulty would have been good as well to add some replay ability to the game. I hope my feedback has been somewhat useful and I thoroughly recommend the game for anyone interested in dungeon crawling/ Diablo esque games. Good job devs!
awp69: Yes, we fixed it ASAP and submitted to Apple before the weekend. It's in their hands now... Solarclipse: If a weapon has a small character stat icon on it, that is a perk. It displays as "perk icon + stat amount" on the weapon's picture. Example: the Magmar Edge sword adds +2 defense. When equipped, your defense stats will go up by 2. You can upgrade this weapon and the perk stat will also increase/upgrade. Hope that helps Ryan
Dude I also have a family and full time job. My work schedule is packed for the whole day and I only play between breaks. But a short game IS a short game. i'm able to complete it within hours.
What the f? Relax dude, have a beer or something. The game is short. Nobody is saying it's bad value for money.
Would anyone happen to know why that on the iPad 1 I am getting no sound from the speakers. If I plug in the headphone jack I do get sound. Also if I plug and unplug the Headphones it skips cut scene's? -Altrez
Regarding rare items: @Ryan Yes but, as I said before, you can get those perks on normal gear as well. I still don't understand why rare items buy/sell at such high prices if they have no advantage over normal items. @TA Users I saw a Blade Of Haste that had the same damage stats as other swords of the same level, but an attack speed of 5 instead of the usual 3. That attack speed (5) is normally only seen on daggers (very low damage) but this was a sword. I've also seen a [Something] of Thorns... maybe it reflects damage back at an attacker? Might be interesting to equip it and let a monster hits you while you drink potions, and see if the monster's health goes down.
@GSJ1977 - Unique/Rare weapons.. these gear items are just special, rare variations of some of the other weapons/shields you can find equipped on monsters or in chests. They all usually have higher perks/speed/attributes than their corresponding normal versions. Right now, there are no special "life stealing" attributes for these weapons. If you found one, consider yourself lucky . Sometimes they show up in the vendor list too. If it wasn't as good as your currently equipped weapon, you can at least sell it for a nice gold bonus. Like the "Axe of Gratitude". It was never our intention to have people buying IAP gold to play the game. That's why we are so generous with the drops. That said, thanks for all those who ARE buying it
Thanks to this i may buy some iap to give you give a little more support wish more devs where like you
Yeah, the game is short, but I felt I got my money's worth. Of course the only problem I have with this game is that I did want to keep going. So I finally broke down, and bought Diablo III...
Price is not the issue here. I've played several $0.99 games with more replay value than this. Again, NOT saying Orc is bad game. We just want more out of it. A few people mentioned perhaps a new game+ mode or enhanced difficulty in the next playthrough.
All I was trying to say was that I hate when people complain about a game being "short" when I feel AppStore prices are severely undervalued to begin with. Yes, there may be $.99 games with more replay value. But that's not my point. This game has high production values and, at least to me, personally, it was well worth the $2.99. What's wrong with the comparison with a movie that costs way more? People just expect too much from iOS games because of the way the economy is structured. I'm sure this game cost way more to make than many of the $.99 games that have more replay value. Would I like it to be longer? Sure. But I'm realistic in my expectations. I think a new game+ is an excellent idea that shouldn't be to diifficult to implement. I'd even be willing to pay an IAP for an expansion. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be derogatory. Just trying to point out that for what you get, even if it is 2-3 hours, it's worth the money. That's just IMO.
