I beat the game and I loved it. It definite needs gamecenter for high scores and more modes would be cool like an endless runner mode that starts off on the easiest rank and progressively increases rank as you go.
Decent game, I'm just a bit lost as to what to do next - I want to level up some more, but it's a bit boring, would make much more sense if a harder difficulty was unlocked.
I've finished. I liked it a lot, but the replay value is zero, sadly. My hopes for the future of the series: Please add (much) more character customisation (and I mean from a gameplay perspective, not hair styles and shit). There's one character to play and basically one way to play him. I found that the allocation of base stat points made little appreciable difference to the gameplay. Furthermore, the game threw so much gold at me that all my items and skills were constantly upgraded to the max with large amounts of gold in reserve. Anyway, great game Big Cave and if you're reading this I wish you guys success with this game.
iPad 1 IOS 5.1 No sound Hey Guys, I have an iPad 1 and the game does not have any sound. I am running 5.1 I can launch the game just fine and even play it no crashes at all. However no sound. I checked all the settings. Hard rebooted re installed etc.. Any ideas? -Altrez
i couldn't get the zig zag & circle to work for me at all i just gave up, i agree with you about the replay ( i hope the devs. add more content in a future update) i really like the game
well finish the game today and really love it to bad there is not like a hardcore mode but well from time to time going to play all the chapters again. Maybe the big cave could add some side missions playing as the dark one finding a exit to return to argon and set the game to a sequel or maybe an arena mode with co-op Also some more gesture would be nice specially some tweaks for the zig zag i always move a little when i used
Jealous of all of you guys that have even been able to play it, let alone finish it. Noticed that almost all the reviews on iTunes are either 4- or 5-stars and the 1-stars from all of those with the "bat bug". Also noticed that it seems to happen on a variety of devices (from the reviews) from iPads and iPhone 4s as well as 3gs models. Oh well, wish they had tested with more devices and maybe this wouldn't have been an issue.
Why do people make games that are easy and you finish them and there's nothing else? It seems like it's hardly any work at all to create a harder New Game+ type option.
Part of the reason why I avoid Chillingo like the plague. Their games ALWAYS show SO MUCH POTENTIAL, yet they rarely follow up (if ever) and... after the 5th or 6th time, you just kinda get sick of being disappointed.
Finally picked this one up... I love me some dungeon crawlers. =oD I'm not really comfortable with the touch controls yet though, really wish some sort of dual stick scheme was included as well. But even with the controls, I'm having a blast. I do wish there was a harder difficulty setting though... =oP Anywho... Nice looking D.C., really hope this winds up being one of the few Chillingo games that gets some updates, like others have said, it really seems like none of them that have come out recently have been getting updated. Shame...
Game Impressions As some have mentioned, the graphics are extremely impressive. Considering the detail, performance and loading times are also exceptional. I like a lot about the gameplay. There is a lot of variety throughout the campaign. Obviously when it comes to loot-gathering, there are negative comparisons with the likes of Diablo III, but that title has had years and years of dev time. Here's my specific feedback: - Option to skip cutscenes please. - Very easy to accidentally trigger gestures. I'd much prefer them as buttons on the RHS of screen. As others have mentioned, that way you could potentially add cooldowns to stop potion spamming. - Why do I need to tap-and-hold to run? Why aren't I running all the time? I have yet to encounter a situation where walking has been useful... - Tapping outside of the play area should still walk the character in that direction. Currently it has no effect and you run into lots of troubles trying to collect items around the edge of the play area. - Main character's voice is so cockney... Secondary character voices are better.
You can release your finger once Rok starts running and he will auto-run. This was to free up your hands/fingers from covering the screen. Once he is running, a simple tap elsewhere will change directions. Walking helped in picking up loot items that were near each other on a small screen. We read all the forums and reviews We take notes and pay attention to player feedback, and will use this information going forward. Thanks again to everyone who has purchased the game. We appreciate it.
Just finished the game. Good enough for a "lite" RPG experience but not quite the Dungeon Hunter-killer I had hoped. Plus like someone said there's zero replay value. Why would I keep the game in my small capacity iPad after this. Perhaps Big Cave Games can use all these comments and feedback for Orc 2
Geez do you just sit down and play it 24 hours a day or what? I have a family and a job so I barely have anytime to play anything. I think I am still on act 1or 2 .....
Item colors Hi Ryan@bigcave, I'd really like to have the rare/colored items' stats cleared up. One person in the forum said the rare item would one shot an enemy that his other weapon, though doing more damage according to the stats, would take two hits. Anyone else figure this out?
