By the way; is there a possibility for a mode with orbs already scattered around ? There could also be a similar mode with a countdown involved, where you have to shoot a specific number before proceeding to a next level.
Looks great now - no crashes! Just one question though... I've had the game for less than 24 hours... not even sure it's been released for 24 hours... but on the global high score table, I'm #7 for the Pure Game (Karnage) for the All Time Scores with a score of 16... but only #12 in the 'Last 24 Hours' score table with a score of 8... How does that work?! BTW - someone mentioned they'd prefer 'swipe' rather than tap... this would stop this being a one-handed game, however and the great thing about this game is I can play it on the London Underground, one hand holding on the overhead bar and the other hand playing Orbital - so if you DO add swipe, make it an option rather than the only way to play please! And if there's a way to play online opponents, PLEASE add this - that would be amazing! Perhaps you could introduce a rating system to automatch you etc... Cheers, Jamie
Hi badmanj Could it be that you made your score of 16 while playing offline? The scores for the 24h high scores are only submitted right after the game. If there is no connection or you play offline the game does not try to resend the 24h scores to the server. Or perhaps this is a consequence of the server problems we had. ADR bitforge LTD
Some people experience the difficulty level as too high... Here's a little trick: Keep your thumb on the screen while shooting orbs. This way you can place orbs - more ore less - safely onto the playground. Especially in gravity mode...
I say get it. Spent 5 minutes playing and I can tell I'm gonna be hooked. I started on Pure mode and sucked horribly, but once I started Gravity mode the game doubled in awesomeness and I started to get the feel of the gameplay. The whole look of the game, graphics, layout, interface... is absolutely perfect.
I was wrong. It actually is addictive, as I just ran my battery out on it. It just has a steep learning curve, as was demonstrated by our beginning scores of 0-5. I'm up past 50 points now and still playing, so I retract that part of my earlier statement.
This game is absolutely brilliant. I'd put it up with Spider as my best recent purchase. Its so addictive, yes there is a slight learning curve but it's easy enough to get the hang of the gameplay. I'm not quite up there with djflippy yet, my best is 45, but I will play this a lot. Highly recommended and an easy 5 out of 5 from me!
Just downloaded this and loving it so far! My highest score is only about 9 though A couple things I would change/add to the game are the ability to move the shooter thing on your own, and also the addition of lives. Having to start over because of one mistake seems a bit harsh Other than that this is a great game!
Man, I seriously suck at this game, but I love it! Beautifully presented slick interface and highly addictive gameplay... I will write up some more thoughts on this a little later, but I am off to practice!
one of the best games on the iphone IMHO. Beautifully produced, difficult but very very addictive. Yes I know we all like to wait for the 59p price, but for something as good as this, it's a no brainer - I just look at it that it's the price of a can of coke and a few bag of crisps It's amazing when you compare the iphone game range to the PSP/DS and that their's sony and ninty charging 20 quid upwards and some of us (inlcuding me sometimes!) moan when we can't get an iphone game for 59p
Got to agree with Matty... too many people wanting to pay the bottom end price and of course we all like a bargain, but by the same token if you want quality you should to pay for it. This is an awesome game and well worth the £1.79 ($2.99) price tag.
