I didn't see the update either. Just delete the game and redownload it on your device. And since the scores are linked online, you won't lose any highscores as well!
Yes, I only knew of the update from the forums here and even though the app page still describes it as v1.01, if you click on the "Buy App" it will tell you you (assuming you've already bought the game) the UPDATE is free and, next thing you know, you'll have v1.2.0.

Improved battery life? That's awesome to hear. Orbital used to drain my battery like no tomorrow I believe my max combo in Supernova is 7. My max score in one shot in the mode is 49, so I think that means my max combo was 7. Could be wrong, though
