I just picked this up at $0.99. [EDIT: I was terribly late for the sale!] Not exactly addicting for me, but the game is really well designed for what it does.
It didn't start out addicting for me either ... my first thought was, "that's IT?!"...but was shortly followed by "hey, why haven't I gotten even FIVE points yet?". Somewhere in there, the "ok, just ONE more game" bit kicked in, then it was all downhill.
For me I have been consistently getting 11-15 points after about 15 minutes into the game. But that's it for me. I also didn't know that the multiplayer was for a single device. It still manages to surpass my relatively high expectations though. Maybe I'll spend more time with it later
I just bought for 99c. Very glad I did. One of the best, simple puzzle games out there. And even though it looks somewhat simple, the presentation is excellent. Are you guys saying your scores in Pure mode or Gravity? I had a very tough time breaking 10 points in pure mode, but I just managed 69 in Gravity. The high score is 180 or so though - so I've got quite a ways to go!
A sale was enough to get my attention. I had seen the video before and not understood what was going on, but this thread explained things better. I bought, and I like it One-tap one-hand control works great in this case. I do, however, suck (for now)but its still fun!
I cant find a game by that name on the iTunes Store or even in Google! This ones fun and addictive though. Very simple: just hit each ball 3 times (it counts down) to pop it and earn a point. But your own shots become new balls, filling the screen more and more. Let one of your shots bounce back at you and the game is over. Gravity mode makes it easier because all balls attract your shots.
my fault, I wrote the name wrong. It is Xpandaballs. The concept seems the same. Xpandaballs has basic graphics but good gameplay and various types of balls (3-hit, 5-hit, faster balls, one which destroys other balls immediately, and one which can bounce back). This one has clearly much better graphics though.
I love the flash version more than the iPhone version! I think that might be because I hate the zoom-in 'feature' when one of the spheres touches the death line. Can that be disabled through settings in a future update please?
I just saw this thread last night. First I have heard of the game, beacuse it was $99 and you guys seemed to live it, i decided to get it. Its really fun, you dont want to stop playing. Its really tough game though, and I am usually good at these type of games. Like the facebook stuff too, I like sharing scores with friends.
I too would love an option where the camera does not zoom towards the orb when the orb is close to the line!
yeah, it's the game's way of going, "ha, ha you lost again" ...an option to skip it would be nice as it would make restarting into a new game quicker and less depressing
