The game is great, but the English is terrible, half of the sentences don't make any sense. I'm at the interrogation where the guy is tied to the trees and the options I have are totally random, the words are mixed up. I'm taking it that this is made by someone who doesn't speak English? And if so this really needs to be tested and fixed. Like I say the game itself is really cool but the crazy translation jibberish will out people off. Edit. Anyone have a clue what I'm supposed to do at that torture scene? It seems all I can do is let the rope loose, I can't figure out how to tighten it to stretch him or kill him?
I agree, this mission poorly translated into English, hope the other missions will not have any problems with English. You need to choose dialogue options until such time as he did not stop talking. Then bend the left and right birch halfway. Then continue the dialogue. And finally completely bend birch and listen to all the information
Thanks I'll give that a try. I totally didn't figure out that Spoiler you have to pull the tree right in then cut it For some reason that never occurred to me I had literally tried shaking the tree around all all sorts of things but I didn't get the idea of what was actually happening with you hands.
Cheers. Got it in the end. The link wasn't appearing on my phone in the TouchArcade App but it was on my iPad. Managed to get it on my phone by going via Safari rather than the App. Great game - terrible English.
going to try having him send all of the text to me so I can sort it out - he's Russian. I didn't really notice any of it early on, so I kind of assumed the rest of the game was ok. Anyway - will try to fix
Haha that's a good point I can't speak another language other than some basic farm yard animals in French. It's no game breaker but I know some people here get really annoyed by bad translations.
You have just ROCKETED to the top of my list of favorite TA members. BTW, @Josh, if you ever need translation work done, I'd be happy to pitch in... Oh yeah, and the game is great. Still cannot get over the "twitching" behavior after a headshot. I never would have guessed that stick figures could be so... expressive. Cheers! DBC
The more I play of this the more I'm unsure, the presentation is great and if not of par with clear vision maybe even a little better but the bad translation and now I'm getting the feeling that the missions are based on retrying, memory and reflex where as in clear vison you get the info you need before a mission so you know what to do, here your first play of a mission you'll have to see what's going on (probably fail) then spend the next couple of attempts completeing it, Mission 8 for example all it said was always look up, and there's a guy running across the rooftops, you don't get any info before hand on which direction he's coming from, the wind or distance. Where as clear vision gives you the info before the mission so you have a chance of completing it first time. Still enjoying the game and it's well worth the money but just thought I'd point these things out.
Hmmm I asked him If he remembered me, told him I'd say hi to the girl (forgot her name) and said do you think I'm joking, can't remember any more, Spoiler but you have to bend the branches inward a bit to make him talk then bend them in fully to make him talk some more, then use the scissors and they spring apart tearing him into bits
Really want to like this but the english in the game is horrendous and I find it really jarring. Additionally some of the missions don't really work with stick figures - for example, the one where you need to identify the target as a left hander; it's impossible to tell whether he is painting with his left or right hand! Aiming feels very hit and miss; no ability to hold a breath to steady the shot, for example. Clear Vision was brilliant and this COULD be better - but not yet.
English localization English localization is completely fixed and new build ready to upload. To reduce jitter scope you have to buy new butts. Gun shop will be available after a few missions. The first missions are pretty easy to pass them with the first butt.
That's excellent news - thanks. One other question - I am just past the mission where you set off the explosives under the manhole cover... I have 40 dollars left and information costs 50. What can I do to obtain more money so I can continue the game? Thanks - Jamie
It's a little unplanned bug where a player does not follow the tutorial . Sorry for it. In gun assembling tutorial you need to install and buy only second scope (you probably bought a third scope ) (It fixed in the new update) Now you need to start a new game and then in the tutorial buy only second scope. I hope this will not cause a huge inconvenience
You're right - I bought the third scope. I'll restart - I'm not too far into the game. Cheers - Jamie.
