    @egarayblas,
Great job moderating this discussion, thank you for that :)

Personally, I just like playing games, and it doesn't matter which social gaming platform they're on. I play Scoreloop games, I play MiniSquadron (OF) and I play Eliminate (Plus+). In my (biased) opinion, some games are more suited for Scoreloop's Challenges UI flow, and some are better supported with OF or Plus+'s features. I would not turn away a hot girl just because she likes vanilla, not chocolate :p

@kgutteridge, @egarayblas, thanks for your support. Feel free to ping us anytime for support, even on weekends! (@junde or [email protected])

The reality for me is that I don't care about the social aspects of the services. I just want something that keeps track of my scores so I don't lose them if I have to reinstall, something that gives me cool achievements, and something that's not obtrusive to my gameplay. If Scoreloop provides that, great. If the others do, fine. I just want to play games!

Hi I am Aron from AGON.

I just read through the thread, and I respect your desire too keep this discussion about what end-users experience. I could go on about some of the issues raised here about AGON that we have addressed, but I simply do not wish to hijack the thread any further.

As a gamer I think the best 'social' game out there is EliminatePro, even though it uses a competing platform, that in some areas is behind AGON. The game as a whole does the 'social' part very well, but this is probably more because of the great game, where multiplayer is integrated into the design, and not a simple afterthought.

If you want to try out the latest version of AGON, get the free game Atoms, please share your verdict.

really? openfeint 2.4 is so identical to xbox 360 now. you have chat functions and everything, along with challenges for some games. OpenFeint has more good games simply because of its numbers. With so many games naturally you will have more bad ones but you will also have more good ones. OpenFeint hasmore good games than Plus+ even has games. Plus+ is better aesthetically i will give it that and i used to be a huge plus+ fan over OF, but OF is evolving all the time into something truly great. Eliminate is actually the only game that is keeping plus+ up there. If it didnt have that then their 'social' area would be nonexistent really.

Seriously, guys, unless you have something useful to contribute on the debate between various social platforms on the iPhone, move on and spam another thread. Your bantering back and forth is childish and pointless.

As for the social platform discussion, any thoughts on Crystal yet? I know it's only be a day or two since any Crystal based apps have been available, but I'm sure that some of you that are more into the social aspects of these games than I have used it already. I've done enough to create an account and sign into one game that uses it, but I haven't really explored it beyond that point yet.

On a note actually related to this topic, is OpenFeint the only service that actually picks up your login information and not require you to reenter your password between different games? If so, why don't the other services do this. It's a pain having to try and remember the passwords for all of these services, and while I do have them written down it doesn't do me a whole lot of good if I'm not at home by my computer.

I know the only reason why you quoted me is because I know you in real life. Anyway, openfeints network is great, way better than the others. I was talking about the games associated with the network. xbox 360 makes sure they never release crap games but you see games like imagine: ice princess or whatever on the Wii. It does have some good games, but is overwheled with crap. If I had any advice for openfeint, it would be to make their SDK private like plus+. That way there are no stupid boob apps that use openfeint.

Did you just say Xbox 360 doesn't release any crap games??

    Ouch, my side.

In fact OF is most similar to XBL out of all of them, IMO. Both platforms have their share of crappy games with crappy achievements. There's some 360 games where you can get all 1000pts in 5 minutes (Avatar:TLA).

I think OF has the biggest collection of great games out of all the services: Hook Champ, JCS, Stair Dismount (no cheevies :(), SIIG, C64, Squareball, Fieldrunners, MiniSquadron, Mecho Wars. I could keep going but you get the point. True, Plus+ has mostly great games, but there's some suspect ones in the bunch too. I mean iCopter? DJ Jones? Those games aren't the usual high quality that Plus+ is known for.

Don't get me wrong, I love Plus+ to, and I used to prefer it over the others. But OF has improved it's versions a few times, adding in better features and making it look real purdy. I think just cause OF has SO MANY GAMES, it seems like it has a ton of crappy games but in the grand scheme of things it's probably about the same as the others.

Pretty much, with all these services, I concentrate most on OF and only really bother with the others if they're actually in games I really want. With OF, I have no shame. I'll play a pile of crap just to get the achievements. :D

Nope, Scoreloop also has this too. The systems recognise your device ID. You also get Scoreloop coins for every Scoreloop game you purchase. You're right that it's a pain not to have this feature, but I should think most systems should have this.

I've probably not noticed it with Scoreloop because I think I only have one game that uses that service. Crystal made me log in with two different games, but I'm guessing that's because one of them is still in beta? I'm beginning to think the real issue is that I don't have enough games on any one service except OF to know what they do between games. I thought Plus+ made me log in separately with two different games, but now I'm not so sure. One small thing I ran into last night with Agon was that even though I only had one profile, it made me select that profile before clicking OK. It should automatically highlight the profile if there's only one there.

I find that annoying too, with the 2.4 update it takes about 3 screens of signing in, loading and clicking "O-****ing-K!" before it'll let you get to the damn game.

The heavy amount of sarcasm must've gone right over your head, I'll try to make it more obvious next time.

Aw you hurt my feelings

Could you stay on topic? Sheesh, you're acting so childish.
