Ah, that explains it! Thanks for confirming I do not suck at the game :)

Is this using liquidfun? I am working on a liquid physics based game too with liquidfun.
    I'd love to beta test.

This does not use liquidfun, I created my own liquid physics engine to handle the liquid and physics interactions. I used Box2D for the rigid body physics though. As far as beta testing, thanks for the interest, I will send you a PM for more info.

    How I feel about this

So I did spend about an hour on this game when I fist got it and made it up to Lv3 and surely got stuck for more than 45min and decided to turn my iPad off for the night. I woke up the next morning and made an elaborate scheme to beat the level by setting up scale models of the map in person like a little 8th grader at a school science fair and seemed to have gone through more time then what would be considered reasonable by society's standards. After staying awake 37.5 hours I decided to just play the game for the rest of my 48 hour journey and yet again failed. Next thing you know I have to go out for drive to tour a college to become a physics teacher and seamed to leave my iPad there *ugh*. I then reported my iPad as stolen in hopes for someone to call the device into Apple and with my luck I got my iPad back In what seemed like forever even though it was probably just 2 weeks but after all that I got my iPad back still stuck on lv3 *please just shoot me now* (humer intended) but on the bright side when I found it was time to review the game here's what I got "MUSIC 7/10" "Effort the developer put into the game 9.5/10" "Graphics 7.5/10" "enjoyability 10/10" and lastly "difficulty 10/10"

Haha. Sounds hard. :) Thanks for the review and testing it.

Does anyone have any specific levels or ideas that they really like in the game. Are there any level concepts that you would like to see more of?

    Thanks.

Anyone have any thoughts about their favorite levels, or does anyone want to beta test?

A liquid type physics puzzler set in the canyons. Love it!

Splash canyons is an enjoyable game with creative solutions to challenging puzzles..

I can't say that I have a favorite level because it looks like you were successful in making sure that most of the levels were either different then each other, or introduced something new.

I have an IPad Air. 7.1.2. For the most part everything ran smoothly.
In level 7.. don't know if this is a glitch or purposeful.... but, it doesn't happen in the other levels I completed. Almost like an olds film reel. There are these shadow lines that keep flashing in different area across the screen sideways and some, a smaller amount, go up and down. There is also a thin dark black pencil line that appears and disappears. Some of it is like a flash and some like a flicker.
If needed, I can try to make a simple video of it for you.

In level 2, the statement; "Mix thoroughly" threw me off a bit.
I wasn't sure if this only meant allowing both colored fluids to fill and mix on their own, or if was supposed to shake my device when the fluid is in the cavern.

I would like it very much, if a level is uncompleted, and there is no further solution, that the level automatically ends instead of staring at the screen looking for additional solutions.

What I don't like is, in the menu section, the levels that you have completed are not highlighted. Sometimes, if I really get into a game, I am not going to remember what level I completed. In this case, I have to guess and open and close different levels until I remember which one I am playing next. Also, unfortunately, all the levels are unlocked and playable so it is more difficult.
It also makes it more 'zen' then competition. Less thrill; I guess.

Note: There is another section that you can pay to unlock. I have not unlocked it so this is not regarding that area. In fact; the iap location is uncomfortable for me. It makes me think that the game is not finished unless I am willing to pay for additional content. In a 'free' or 'freemium' game, no big deal. In a 'paid' game, a little bit of a big deal.

My son tried the game. He is 19 years old but has a developmental delay which really means he is cognitively approx. 15 years old. Has mild cerebral palsy. These are his words:
    "Fun game."
    "It's a cool game."
"Can you ask them to put it on the tablet?." (He meant android tablets)
"It would be neat if they added some tricks. Like, maybe an extra piece of wood or a rock. Or... I know! More liquid!"
He means power ups or extras earned in the game for those time when there is no solution available anymore. Maybe you've lost part of the fluid?
Or even during the game, an extra rock or piece of wood for a little extra advantage...

Overall, it's a nice game. I can see myself sitting down and being 'lost' in it for a while.

Thanks so much for the review and feedback Lavender. :) Those are some really helpful tips. As far as the type of game, it will most likely be free with an In-App Purchase for more levels. I really like the idea about power ups. I have thought about it myself but I am just not sure how it would work yet.

Bandit TA, I sent you a PM back, thanks. :)

I haven't had a ton of time to play just yet, but here is my first brief glance.

This game is a fun physics puzzler. It will be highly dependent on level design as to how fun it will be though. In playing through the first few levels, the difficulty scales up rapidly. I would have liked a more detailed tutorial. I mean, sure the basic cut is easy, but just a few guided examples about color combination, and introduction of the new mechanics. Also, a bit of clarity on scoring would be awesome after the level. How close you were to the right colors, approximate fill percentage for each fill zone, wasted liquid.

I'll give more info later, but for now I find it very enjoyable.

Ok, thanks for the comments riggysmalls. I like the idea about the statistics after you complete the level. As far as how the difficulty ramps up, I am still working on that.

Thanks for the update! I think we should have 3 skips useable on any level if we need them. That way if we get stuck, we can still advance and play. Then when we complete that level we should get the skip back. Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. I will have to think about it. I like the idea though.
