Btw, pushing early low-point enemies over the edge might give you more points than just killing them, but you would miss the 50% (?) chance of collecting a heart which gives you 150 points, when at full health. So it's better to kill them in the arena. But the harder the enemies, the higher their score, then it's worth trying to push them. Another advice for a high score: try to have full shield protection and then kill all enemies without shield first and then concentrate on the enemies with shields, kill them without destroying their shield and earn 400 points for collecting it. As someone said. The combat feels so much more satisfying then let's say Infinity Blade! So fun. Even after several walkthroughs I'm still playing it.
I love the feeling of impending doom when you start with four or five guys appearing. Then, after a few seconds, a dozen or so more enemies appear, and now you have to run for your life and regroup. But, you can't because the archers keep firing and you keep 'just missing' that damned red slime. And, crap, that wizard was just there a minute ago. And that's when the earthquake starts. And if I have to hear the thief laugh at me one more time. And don't get me started about the cake.....
The stock controls are perfectly placed if you are playing the game laying down with your iPad resting on your beer belly. If you are holding your iPad, yeah you would want them moved up a fair bit. I understand that 'buttons settings' is asking a little much, but a toggle between the two setups should be two minutes of coding...
Only One 1.01 Only One got updated to 1.01 overnight, here is the changelist 1.01 - rebalance game some enemies (Mc Fisto) may be easier - all attacks will hit (but not damage) bubbled hero regardless of previous simultaneous hits - score is now displayed in the game over menu (will pulse yellow if it is highscore) - animations will no longer stop when scrolling in abilities menu (pause screen) - push ability upgrade now 20% increment instead of 15% - game is no longer pausable while close to death (falling) - loading msg stays on longer if gamecenter is logging on before title start - frame rate minimum is 20 fixing sudden rapid movement when the game is interrupted - more clouds I have 1.03 which I finished last night now waiting in review 1.03 - Non fixed floating virtual joystick (enable in settings menu) - Slightly more challenging game and more challenging early bosses - Fixed Android permissions (no more location access requirement) - Reduced nagging messages and arrows for upgrades and IAP - Larger virtual joystick touch boundary - button layout is higher on iPad 1.03 is probably the version I should have launched with, but hopefully it will be out by or before next weekend So far over the past 3 days I've had 17k in downloads total! 9K Friday, 7 k Saturday, I've been wondering what to do to promote the game further as I assume the numbers will wane and like most games will slowly fade away. My next update will probably focus on an endless mode.
Hmm I upgraded my dart ability to max and it still shows as 12.997s (or something close). Is this a bug? A bit disappointing (only this) but I really like this game. Keep it up. ^^ Have not contributed ultimate but I will even if I don't need it. Good work deserves a payout. ^^ Oh and dart works v well against bosses, just stand far and throw it, including against lv40. The red blob was easy as well thx to dart maybe make it pop 3 reds as opposed to just 2? Berserkers are definitely the most annoying baddies to fight against. I'll always kill the range first (archers and mages).
Thanks for that, I was subtracting by 1.5 millisecond, instead of 1500 like I should have, will be fixed in next update I was on the fence about adding sword damage thinking dart was not powerful enough, but I think capping it at 2 is best. Thanks for your feedback!
Your right in the sense that if you loose more than one health in a short period or if you pick up another heart after getting hit it doesn't count. Right now it only works in the simplest case, you loose one heart, avoid getting hit again for 10 seconds, get that heart back. If you loose more than one heart in 10 seconds, it won't reset the timer the last heart you lost. I might change that.
I think the problem is when you get hit and loose a heart, then pick up a heart, but still don't gain anything from having the regen skill even if you avoided attacks for 10 seconds. Seems odd that picking up a heart within the time frame voids the skill entirely. I had regen up until lvl 50 and saw no benefit from it so was forced to avoid it.
Great game. Thoroughly enjoying it. I only wish it had a floating v-stick option. Edit: Looks like it's on its way. Sweet.
Not sure if it's the update or not, but the game has been crashing on me. Which is really unfortunate, as the game can get very hectic and down to the wire.
For all crashes, tell me version: what you were doing: level you crashed on: abilities you had equipped: last ability you used: you can post here, msg me directly or send me an email. I will look for it and kill this bug, but I need more info
That makes sense! I'm always waiting for the heart to appear again before continuing to collect hearts, feels like a downgrade in these moments. So a change is a good idea. Wow, push is strong now And I just saw that dead bodies don't move with the shaking ground while every thing else does. A tiny thing.
Does anyone else think this game would be the perfect multiplayer game? And I'm not talking rounds that you win. But one big game that many people spawn into and the longer you last the more points you get. (Plus points for killing) Of course you'd have to have more than just one game people spawn into but you get the point
