Mmmm... Very nice game! I didn't like Zombieville that much but this is great! I'm stuck at the 2nd boss fight against the bar tender, any tips?
The bartender's tankard attack is very fast. You can parry it if you get used to the timing of it... Or just keep on the move til he swings and then go in for a few seconds. And of course, keep your distance when he's rampaging around in a rum powered rage - this is a good time to ignore the boss and kill off his allies.
Game Impressions Ok well this game was awesome....keyword: was. I absolutely love the style, controls, feel, and progression of this game. But it didn't last too long. The campaign is just an easy 9-level battle-through, which does progress but is very, very short. I'm talking completion within the hour. On easy, well, its easy. Normal is quite challenging, and hard is impossible unless your at max level. I've completed all 3 but there lies the other con. The max level is only 30 which really sucks because leveling up was the biggest reason to keep playing this game! As you level up, each level you gain more things for your ninja (max health, stronger special, more abilities, more combos, and movement speed) and made it amazing. But the feeling I had once I saw there was a max level.....was a turn-off. After beating campaign (on normal btw) you unlock Survival, which is fun, but for some reason, extremely hard. Every enemy in survival is on the hard difficulty as you skip through stages. Idk why they did this. I assumed they would've made it start out fairly easy, and it progress, like zombieville. But I guess not. The challenging-ness of survival seriously only lasts about 5 min. Now, if you were able to level up further, it would make it less challenging so you can get farther....but I guess not. Despite the negative things I've posted on this game, its a very fun unique game. Sure it's short, but I garuntee they'll add something in the future and if not its amazing while it lasts. I would recommended getting it for $2. Its a mini castle crashers Overall 7/10. Good, but with the lowness of replayability, it cannot be great.
This game is extremely good; it is much better than its predecessors - Zombieville, Inkvaders, and the like. You can move up and down in addition to left and right, and omg you can jump! The tiny bits of RPG elements also add to the gameplay. I hope that more enemies will be added in the future, and possibly more weapons that you can switch to at any time.
Brought this game last night and I love it, I played zombieville to the point of getting bored but I can see myself playing this a lot more often, I also love how the combos work with timed button pressing instead of having multiple buttons so it takes a bit of timing and skill to use the right combos at the right time without getting pinned down by the pirates. So worth buying and 5 stars from me.
Does the game have a simple feel ? I liked Zombieville for it's simplicity. I don't like too many complications with combos....etc Do they keep things relatively simple ?
Great game, I've a lot of fun playing it (and being stuck on the 3rd boss ) Each level has is own background and there are 3 levels per mission (and 9 missions), it's a big graphic work and it's well done! Animations are great too. About the gameplay as some others here, I'd problem because I couldn't return my ninja during a combo, but finally I enjoy playing like this. The best part is the flying ninja when I use 2 buttons very quickly I hope to see soon achievements, more levels and more enemies
I thought this game was awesome except the controls are just so awkward. So many times I've tried to run and jump but it just stops and blocks so I get killed. ARGH!
It's actually pretty simple, even with the combos. There aren't too many combo moves. There are really only 3 in the end. Anyways, just got my ninja to the highest level, and my highest chain at 148 Any update planned? I personally want more levels and combos (not so many combos that I can't remember) The ninja move mid-air reminds me of Zero.
At first I was doing 44, 47; but then I got into the rhythm a little more and got a 110. That's the only time ever though It's usually pretty low.
For the record, survival mode is supposed to be crazy hard. I wanted each session to be fairly quick, so that a skilled player wouldn't have to invest 20 minutes or longer to approach their best score. Hence why it's unlocked after the main game - an extra challenge for experienced players.
