it said on the front page that you need to get 5, 10 and 15 master ranks to unearth the cheat modes.. so in modes normal and hard, does that mean the total master ranks accumulated?
I want to support you 100% on your assessment. I would much rather have new levels, bosses, rpg elements, combos, control schemes, whatever, than I would social networking like openfeint. And I think that most people who buy your game would share my sentiment. As great as the Touch Arcade forums are, you are going to have people who prefer social networking features being over-represented as a sample of your overall game purchasers on the app store.
You can't set a new record (campaign or survival) with cheats active... not even super speed mode, which frankly makes the game harder. Correct, its cumulative. Also, we just got word that our update was just approved by Apple - blazingly fast I would add. Version 1.0.1 fixes the survival mode bug reported in this thread, and a rare visual glitch on the final boss.
As much as I love leaderboards, I agree on this point, It is not a must in this type of game. In purely score based games, I think it's a must Still nice to have though if it's not too much trouble
p0rtal here, Got the game the moment it was released; finished the survival mode on easy in a little under an hour, then finished it on normal and hard as well. So far im really impressed with thegameplay with polished controls! I heard you said in the upcomming bug fix update it fixes a bug with the final boss? I may have encountered it in the bar boss as well. The guy hit me at the very same time I hit him and it turned into super slow mode where I was supended in mid-air with zero health and invinsible; perfect time to take cool screenshots . Not really a gamebreaker though; I just restarted the level and killed him then. I can understand what you were saying eariler about not adding Openfeint or Agon, but I myself am a huge achievement whore. Perhaps like in Run! (before the change to Openfeint in 1.1) you could add achievements/personal highscores unconnected to a social network? Anyways congrats on making such an awesome game; big fan of the art style of Zombieville USA and loved seeing it in this followup. Keep up the good work!
Great impressions all over the forums - you make the decision if you think that's worth the money. Majority of the people certainly think so.
I encountered a glitch where I cleared all the enemies on hard mode.. I think it was the second stage and it would not let me progress to the next level. I was just stuck running around, there was no arrow telling me to progress forward. Also I unlocked 2/3 cheat modes EDIT: The glitch happened again for me on Hard Mode 3
Meh, never cared about leader boards or open-feint. As a gamer what matters to be is getting more actual gaming content. For a game like this I feel I'm getting my moneys worth for two bucks. A modular DLC setup where for another two bucks I get that much more content in terms of levels/stages/combat techniques/enemies...etc would be far more appealing and a much better use of development time/money.
Not to be rude here, but if you have enough money for an i-device whether it be a touch or phone (and the astronomical bill that comes with it per month) then it should be a no brainer that for two bucks it's well worth it. ^.^ It's not a LONG game, but it has replay value. I find myself coming back and just play for the fun of it. But for two bucks...I can't complain about content length. It's two...dollars...lol. I've spent more money on bottles of water...
Would that be the visual glitch where as you strike the final blow you are treated to a backdrop made up of a wonderful collage of the enemies in the game? If so I got that on the barman once. But the game carried on so it was ok!
*chuckle* You guys have a knack for finding weird obscure stuff. I haven't run into that one myself, gonna play around with it and see if I can reproduce it.
Hey Mikamobile, This is awesome. Someone said it before, but I'll ask it again (Cause I haven't been on the forum for a while...) Are you going to make more OMG games? *Possible Spoiler* So, in the final video, there were 5 beams of light/explosions when the world blew up. I think this means that you could make a bunch of OMG games like OMG zombies! and have a lumberjack fighting of zombies in a game like this etc, then all five "heroes" beat a super hard boss in the end of their OMG game, making their explosion. All five of their eplosions combined to kinda destroy the earth... And then- OMG Aliens arrives! This could be the biggest, final game where you can play as any of the five characters and is the Premium priced game. Just what I'm thinking though... Thanks for staying active on the forums though! I love when Devs do that.
