Yes, accusing him to have prejudices just because he is a dev who wants to promote his game. Granted, maybe you are right and he´s envy, but hey, maybe you are wrong alltogether and he really can´t deal with the controls of GTA. As far as i remember, he´s not the first one to mention the controls. I always try to avoid prejudices. Ouch, you do realize that some game elements in GTA are copied from old games? The whole drug dealing mechanism in GTA is apparently based on Dope Wars created by John E. Dell in 1984 for example. Does DMA Design ring a bell? If not, that´s what Rockstar called themselves in the past. They developed Lemmings. Haha damn, you´ve made me feel old now. I remember the DOS Version of Lemmings having a russell.dat in the folder, named by one of the founders, Russell Kay. I´d still not jump in his face, after all he was not the first one to mention the controls. I can deal with them just fine, but that doesn´t mean everyone else is able to. Nothing personal compadre, but in my opinion it just makes you look like a fanboy if you try to defend the game this way. Back to topic.
It's human nature to be prejudice when you have a product in the AppStore market! It's a joke to say that he's not prejudice! How would you feel if the owner of burgerking complains about mcdonald? Would you call him unprejudiced? And why should he feel envy? GTA is months work of a team of pro developers, artist and writers with an astronomical budget. What is his 'team' compose of? To compete is pointless since this is way out of their league! I find it pointless arguing with you amigo so let's get back on topic!
OMG.... that's means that every dev has to bow before great GTA and loses every right to criticize a game? Right, you just proved FB.
I think the profesional thing to do from one dev to another is to inhibit yourself from making such comments against a competitor, doing so will always be considered reverse marketing. Had you guys ever heard ngmoco comment on a gameloft game or vice versa? None cuz both are profesionals.
Has anyone tried adjusting the "Vehicle Camera Look Ahead" in the settings? I can't seem to see any difference between the 0 and 10 settings. I thought I would be able to see more of the road with the 10 setting, but it seems to be the same :-(
Great game so far and a true port from the ds/psp version (despite some minor differences) Did anyone of you encounter the ammunation truck you can rob? I played the ds version once and it had ammunnation trucks driving around, you could steal to get loads of weapons. And one thing i didn't find yet: how do you call a cab which transports you to a destination so you don't have to drive yourself?
I jacked an Ammunation truck last night and got a flamethrower. Thirty seconds of fun. And I have hailed a cab before. You seem to have to be in just the right position near a vacant cab and just hold the top of the screen down.
Ditto, I was able to rob a Ammunation truck as well, just force it down an alley and very easy to steal. You can also steal a cab, then hit pause and from there you can do the taxi missions.
One game highlight for me is that 1st time I decided to Jack that damn ammunation truck. It's action worthy of a Michael bay film, I think a set an entire block on fire in the process
Can someone tell me how you jack an ammunation truck? I'm assuming they're the ones driving around with the red arrows over the top of them. Whenever I try to jack these the doors are locked.
You have to force the driver to get out by damaging the truck first. It's excellent. Like someone said above, it's like an action movie set piece every time. You have to chase the truck, stop it moving, then shoot/punch it enough so the driver gets out, then drive the nearly-dead truck back to the nearest secluded safe house to break into it. It's just one of the brilliant little activities in a game absolutely full of them.
Just did it, and got a bazooka!!! Thank you guys for the tip...by the way, I'm making some serious bank running drugs. The market demographic map is a great tool to use to build money. I wait for outstanding buy deals...pick up the goods, then put it away in the lock box until I get a message about a buyer looking for said drug. Blamo, I just made 10-20 grand. In the mean time I just run between markets picking up decent deals and making small profits.
1. any other method to save the game when i want to quit the game instead of -pushing the red button in the left upper corner -the right system button -options -save game ??? its's so annoying! 2. which is the fastest way to earn money? at the beginning i made really good cash with kokaine, now i can't find any drug dealer that offers good prices. is this sort of an ingame difficulty so was it just at the beginning that easy? 3. sometimes i get busted, i lose all my weapons. this is so annoying. later suddenly i kept them and now it's as it was at the beginning, i lose all weapons after beeing caught..?
I bought this today, I'm loving it!, it can get a bit hard to see sometimes, but I just ajusted my brightness of my Ipod, I had it down for so long to save power I forgot about the games!, anywho great game, many hours ahead of me, can't wait to sink my teeth in further...
whats the longest you been chased by the cops. mine is 5 mins.. and i got away in the end.. i figured out whenever i get chased by cops and more than 2 are on my butt.. get in a 18 wheeler.. sure they slow but man the cops just cant stop you!! hah. this is assuming you have got the hang of driving. im getting pretty good at it. shooting i need more pratice at.. i ussaly end up just using the baseball bat. its easier for me to use. chris.
