Based on the first 10 minutes of combined starter cut-scenes and gameplay: Graphics: Smooth 30FPS-ish frame rate and looks heaps better than NDS on my 3GS. Controls: (On foot) Virtual joystick and on-screen buttons. Seems pretty responsive on a 30 seconds try out. (On car) On screen horizontal d-pad (left and right) and on-screen buttons for acceleration and etc. Works great like what I would've expect, i.e. on NDS.
I don't have a first gen iPod touch. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't design the game to be playable on the device. You should really consider upgrading because especially with the new iPhone release this summer we'll likely see more and more developers moving away from legacy support, especially with large scale 3D games like this.
Freaking have 3.0... can't DL to 3.1 on Dial Up, the option isn't even available. All the good games coming out need freaking 3.1
Yeah, I'm probably going to upgrade around April. I've had my first gen since December, 2007. A little over 2 years is enough for this iPod. Besides, I have a gray mark on the top of my iPod because of dropping it, and my home button is jammed. And my battery life isn't so good. I'll probably get a 32 GB 3rd gen Touch.
im not really a fan of the overhead view...but i will most likely get it...hope it is as good if not better than gangstar i like the look of the tank...but im hopin helpicopter
