There's no voice in the cut scenes, so any swearing there might be isn't gonna get played through your speaker anyway.

  2. Unlucky you...I used to do that...
But I got an iTunes gift card. (from myself) :D

  4. Well, personally I don't like the swearing, it's quite bad, but the rest is (relatively) ok.

Don't take the 17+ rating lightly... its pretty suggestive.

I'm sorry, but not all games are for all people. If you are under 17, this game isn't for you. Now, you may have access to it, or have parents that allow you to have it, and that's their perogative, but I personally don't want a watered down version of this game. It's nice to have a game that doesn't pander to me once in a while. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't necessarily want a device full of mature games, but it's a nice change of pace. Don't complain about what it is. If the swearing or violence bothers you, fine. Don't buy it.

Well it's not like you have to hear it.
You can choose to read it, or simply skip the cutscenes.

But everybody should have their say? If they don't like the game, they can state why, then continue a discussion about it? Just my two cents. :)

I did love Gangstar back at the time when it was new and was quite skeptical about this game. But having bought GTA i simply can't believe i liked Gangstar. GTA beats it my billions of lightyears, though Gangstar was/is a good game.

Anyhow, wondered if anybody figured out the cheats? Been trying to find em' for a while by now. uh, and btw you should check out the island in between the islands, just above the 2. most southern bridge, it can be reached by boat and got some nice rampage/hobo-slaying/minigore a-like action.

This game is tits! Having not played a GTA since San Andreas, I'm totally stoked with this game. Huang Lee is the first character I've cared about on this platform. Seriously, with all the bland gameloft games, and over ambitious indy projects, this just feels so...robust. Nothing feels cheap, or overlooked. It's so refreshing, I'll be hard pressed to return to the "now" mediocre feeling of the current app store games.

Edit: I am amused at how people are just now starting to realize that gameloft games such as gangstar are hollow, lifeless garbage. I'm filled with a petulent desire to scream "I told you so", but being a gentleman of understanding, I will refrain from such childish behavior.

  19. Someone said this before...far back...or in another thread(?)

Glad you've joined the party, le'deuche. There are definitely several other games that also click with me right now (even some from Gameloft, horror of horrors), but as far as console-style gaming is concerned, GTA takes the platform to another level.
