I don't believe that .. If that really the case, why gangstar, payback and lot of other M rated game is available here .. even all adult product (those sexy pictures) is here as well ..
Why should you care? Well, perhaps because they went to such lengths to create a great console experience on the iPlatform? Unfortunately, licensing is localized. It's very possible that the issue is not the game per se, but rather the music, art, etc. Just as a related example, when I design a book cover I retain copyright for the art and get paid again if a foreign publisher wants to use it. Licensing deals are usually made by region, and it's likely that either the deals are still pending on Asian countries, or the terms are onerous for one reason or another. If there is one thing that we can say about Rockstar, it's that they love making money. You can be sure that they would be happily taking yours if it was immediately feasible. Hopefully whatever problems they're facing will be resolved soon.
There are tons of awesome games that never get released outside of Asia too, you win some, you lose some. Rockstar games probably sell about as effectively as dust in the east so maybe they figure it's not worth their time. You speak as though it's only them that do it when it's not. If we give you GTA, you've gotta give us Mother 3.
heck yeah, especially when you get older.. im 35. and lets face women are great. but id go nuts with out my hobbies. im sure he just meant it as a joke. or he could of been a teen.. who is only thinking about ... chris.
what's Mother 3? couldn't find it in my appstore .. and through my experiences, I never come across any great game that is only available at my country .. I can see that we're always at the losing end .. I bought everything based on TA recommendation, and none of it is only localized for Asian store ..
It's a GBA game. Different markets, but still just as annoying. About 30% of the RPGs made over there never make it to the US, and if they do make it there, they still might not make it to the UK where I am.
none of rockstar game is available here .. Guess my country really have a problem with them .. funny though, I can get a copy of legit GTA: vice city through local retailer, but not a legit GTA for my itouch ..

You can't get a sniper rifle out of missions: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=961725&topic=52796308 I can see why it is not implemented outside missions. Since the game is an overhead view if you were not on the top of abuilding looking down the sniper rifle would be realy hard to implement.
I loved this game on the DS and am considering buying it for the iPhone, but I'm getting more disappointed about the lack of citizen chatter as the days go by. I was thinking I'd sell my DS copy and keep the iPhone version, but not sure now. I hope they'll put the chatter back in an update.
looks like apple is standing behind gta.. they just put it in the feature section. was not there yesterday. chris. FYI - if you use gift cards to limit how much money you spend. laughs.. it dose not work so well im afraid. all it dose is leave the plastic trail. just counted mine up and iv spent 150.00 on the app store this month. o well cant take it with us when we die i guess. laughs
Agreed! GTA on iPhone has to be one of the best gaming values this yearseriously, dont bother buying 10 59p games, get this one. Theres so much stuff to do. Highly recommended.
I understand why they did the camera doing a sort of birds eye view on the iPhone, but why on PSP? They already had two great titles before.

Redesigning the game to be 3D would not exactly be trivial! The iPhone is capable of a 3D GTA as well, but I don't feel that that GTA is necessarily better in 3D. I like the top-down gameplay.
